⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 Great song choice. 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!!' was the third song of a five song encore with the live Kami Band. This song was one of their earliest hits. I was thrilled when they brought it back for the 2019 tour, and I finally got to hear it live at the LA Forum. Even though the song is about a fifteen year old girl attending her first heavy concert, Su was only fourteen when the studio version was recorded. It's not biographical, but it is a song she could relate to. At that age she was on stage, rather than attending concerts. : ) This is from the Legend "1997" concert, named for Su-metal's year of birth. She turned 16 the day before this show. The venue was Makuhari Messe, a convention center outside Tokyo. BABYMETAL perform there quite often. This concert is bundled with the Legend "1999" concert on the LIVE~LEGEND 1999&1997 APOCALYPSE DVD and blu-ray.

Great reaction, I really enjoyed that. You are absolutely right, all the different elements taken individually are really good, but it takes some sort of genius to even imagine putting all those elements together and making it all work so well that the end result is nearing on or maybe even is perfection. This was one of those songs that I always wanted to witness live for myself, I was so happy when it was back on the set list for the European tour early last year so it happened for me when I went to see them in London ... I was absolutely not disappointed. BABYMETAL are credited with inventing their own sub-genre of metal - 'Kawaii Metal' (kawaii meaning cute) with their fusion of metal with Jpop aesthetics. Well done spotting Pikachu in the crowd too, I think he is nearly always at their shows.

This was the same concert as Gimme Chocolate. But that was a music video and this is an actual live video. Also the Kami Band came out for the encore (this was during the encore). This was the last major concert before the Kami Band was full time. This was Dec 21 2013. This was only a few months before the release of their debut album which was self titled. Headbanger had been released but some songs they performed hadn't been released yet. In fact this was the debut of Gimme Chocolate it had never been released or performed live.

Babymetal immediately exert their super power over you and a smile spreads across your face. The combination of youth and cuteness with the confidence and ability to control a stadium crowd is what initially gets people interested, but then they realize there's some real talent as well and they are great entertainers. Their big concerts are full on theatrical productions with Yui and Moa conducting the crowd interactions, Su being imperious and the Kami Band ripping it up. This concert is Legend 1997 and is a celebration of the lead singer Su-metal as she was born in 1997. This song is a bittersweet coming of age story about a 15 year old school girl going to a concert and braving the mosh pit, while knowing the freedom of the moment won't last long. It's used to celebrate BM birthdays and both Yui and Moa have taken the lead in it for their birthdays. The song probably resonated with Su because this concert was the day after Su's 16th birthday and she had also recently graduated from high school and the idol group "Sakura Gakuin", Yui and Moa were both still members, and started working full time with Babymetal. In the concert it is followed by "Akatsuki" and "Babymetal DEATH" and together they tell a story about growing up and accepting sacrifice and change. Check out those two other songs and remember #notacult. You might also like "Road of Resistance" kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIWoioh8nLGpm7s

During an interview Su said “Kuwaii” translates to “cute” so the combination of the music is “Cute Metal.” Su, Yui and Moa attended the same school which prepares girls for a career in the performing arts. They had experience on stage before Babymetal, (it’s one word).

Always nice to hear from someone who just gets it. You'll really love "Megitsune", which is perhaps their most popular song. Most of the time you'd want to watch live performances, as that is where Babymetal really shines, but for Megitsune you could actually do the music video. It's pretty good: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXyWf4CQdrp-fdk

@@Jordan-Ramses Alright, that explains a lot. Well in Austria we don't have such things. Maybe private ones, I don't know, but not in General. Maybe it also changed over the years, but as I went to school (started in the mid 80s), we did not had even an acting class or so. You always had to wait until a certain age, that you could visited colleges like that. Last thing I know is, that the German and Austrian government pronounced Artists in General as not relevant for the society. Well, you feel really good after that. Yes sarcasm, that's what I have do. ;-)

Legend of 1997 Doomsday Headbanger is a must for any new Babymetal reactors. Babymetal is the originator of a Metal subgenre call Kawaii Metal or Cute Metal. The live version is much more heavier than the MV. If you able to react to Babymetal Road of Resistance it has Dragonforce vibe because Herman Li and Sam Totman plays the guitar solo for the studio version, but Amuse (Babymetal Production Company) is notoriously quick with copyright claims. Suggest put watermark on the video in order for the video to stay up on KZbin. This song have many layering. Enjoy your reaction. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤟
