Someone's gotta be that guy... Somewhere around half the world get happier when they see or get to interact with certain things. On the other hand I feel pretty confident in saying that this song is about a lot more than just sizeable funbags. That's not really How Rammstein do thing traditionally. I feel like this is satire and more about how shallow society can be these days but from a mans perspective. Not unlike the womans perspective described during the end of the analysis. Are you looking for love? Compatibility? A life partner? Or just someone new to validate your own self-worth and boost your lacking self esteem? This song is about the latter.

@@laupstad I think its about the tendency of people being surrounded by the stuff that makes them happy without realizing it. "Zeit" (Time) is in my opinion one of the most impressive songs by Rammstein, also because of its message. However, the birth scene is not suitable for everyone. Rammstein is one of the most controversial and intelligent bands of our time. Very often there are hidden messages in their lyrics and what at first sounds very banal or superficial is, at second glance, profound social criticism or addresses other serious topics such as mental health. A good example is the song "Ich tu dir weh", where it sounds for a long time as if another person is being tortured, until the lyric line "ich seh im Spiegel dein Gesicht" (i see your face in the mirror) makes it clear that it's about self-mutilation.
@Alexzander197365 ай бұрын

At 6:10 you get a view of the Edelweiss flower IIRC. That's a protected species of flower. Due to its delicate fragrance and structure it was given as a sign of love and devotion to your crush. That he steps on it, unseeing, crushing it underfoot, is another symbol of his blindness to the beauty that surrounds him. He even misses the symbol that he could have picked and given it as his opening to the heart of one of the many women surrounding him. As he crushed it he steps to a cliff's edge, trying to stare blindly into the distance, hoping to find his desire far off, ignoring everything close by.

Men do have preferences. Unlike women, we are not narrowed down--quite the opposite. Sometimes we want her to be skinny, other times curvy; sometimes short, other times tall; sometimes the same ethnicity, other times a different ethnicity. I would say, if we're being honest, it's less about validation and more about personal gratification and curiosity. Of course, this plays into the superficiality, since you would be ignoring the qualities that might be detrimental so long as the superficial qualities are prioritized. We should all be seeking the qualities that are intangible, like a friendly personality or brilliance.

The problem is, many times desires and compatibility doesn't always align. Sometimes they contrast quite a bit from each other and we want someone who can check both boxes because both are important at some point or another. This ends up in you having to sacrafice one or the other and be unhappy in one of the two areas, because if you dont make the sacrifice, you might never find anyone. And loneliness is worse than being unhappy.

Watching you crack up made my day. After being the shoulder to cry on, being past on, Being told "why can't I find a guy like you" after being turned down by that same person.. Some of my priorities became unrealistic. When I was asked what's my ideal woman, "Red hair, green eyes, Asian and taller then me." Any of you see Practical Magic? Similar concept, but I went with what should be a genetic impossibility. I'm 5'9.5" Call this funny, I'm close to that tiktok song too. I've had a number of bad relationships, one of the last ones broke me. I went to a really bad place.. funny part there were two who pulled me from that darkness. One was an ex after a bad break up, had become friends again.. and the other.. well, come this Wednesday will be our 12 wedding anniversary. That one treated my darkness differently, she fed it until I began to see what it could have taken me to and I came back to heal. Not all people mend the same and she saw that. Looking at my ideal, my wife is 5'2" American and I think the only thing I got right was the red hair that darkened on me over the years. Be blind to the physical, learn to see hearts. A long time I was feeling I no longer had a heart, then she became it for me. I'm still very broken, hell I'm philophobic and married with an upbringing that didn't allow me to learn emotions that well... I don't have issues, as my wife says, they're subscriptions. As long as I don't tread back to the void I nearly fell down, I feel I'm good. This song, yeah.. I don't think it's meant to be taken serious, but blind man looking for a woman with big boobs.. I'll take smarts myself, everyone has they're thing, it doesn't have to make sense to us, just to the person on the journey. Still love the priest at the end.

For me, it's Deutschland. I'd rate it as one of the best music videos of the century so far.

Best reaction ever to the key line of this song 😂 I just love the honesty of these guys. And haven't we all - boys as well ax gurl- have had a time in our life when the focus and need was on "big" things 😉 Edit: as long as it is a phase, I think it's fine.

The Zeit album has a lot of songs that are a commentary on the zeitgeist like Zick Zack and Angst. To me, this song is a commentary on shallowness in relations.

0:07 This is a good recommendation right there 👀 The Mare EP by Mirar 😊 To be more specific, it's the song titled Cauchemar from The Mare EP but the whole EP is really an interesting experience. I love Rammstein and how they always surprise me with every new song/album they release. Rammstein is art. It should be treated as art. As Till once said in an interview: "I'm not broken. The world is broken. My lyrics are just a reflection of that." 🙏🏻
