"Mischief Of The Metal Gods" is the Kami Band instrumetal usually played before "Akumu No Rondo" (aka Rondo of Nightmare). I had seen Gimme Chocolate!! and a few other BABYMETAL videos and thought they were a lot of fun. The Su-metal solos during the Budokan concerts, especially this one and Akatsuki turned me into a true believer that this (at the time) sixteen year old girl was a legit Metal Queen.

That's like living through my own experience when I heard this the first time. I loved the melody on the album track already, but this live performance really got me hooked. Especially since I realized that this is one of the bands who completely outperform their album recordings live.

they are a million times better, budokan is basically the first album but sounding better. I wonder why they didn't record in the studio as good as live. the studio sound is too processed and poorly mixed, it sounds like white noise "SHHHH" all the time, but the live versions are very clear, you can tell what the instruments are playing and her vocals are better live too.

This is my favorite BM song. The band is badass, always nice to see them get to show off. The other 2 girls, Yui and Moa are backstage getting some water and resting. They also have songs where it is just those 2 and Su takes a break. They dance and jump so much and so hard that they need a little break here and there, lol.

You should definetaly watch their Live "Crucifixion" performance of the song "BABYMETAL Death", it's absolutetly insane and epic. Other songs like "Megitsune", "Doki Doki Morning", "Ijime Dame Zettai", and "Akatsuki" are a given. I really hope you somehow get to react to every single song from their 2 albums! :)

Rondo of nightmare live at budokan is a FUCKING AMAZING song... the band played incredible, SU's vocals were amazing... it's incredible that this band sounds even better live... not many bands can say that. Some songs like Akatsuki and Rondo are Su solo, and others are Yui and Moa duo - like Onedari Daisakusen. The band instrumental isn't part of the song itself, but usually once per concert they have the band do an instrumental like that - usually before Rondo or Catch me if you can. I think a lot of peoples negativity towards the band comes from a lack of understanding: They see the name Babymetal and the three girls and think - that's not metal! Without taking the time to actually listen to them. Clearly it isn't for everyone, but I think a lot of people in the metal community are a bit too dismissive of Babymetal for the wrong reasons. Anyway, another good reaction :) I've been enjoying them, keep it up.

Very good react! This version is called "Budoukan black night" , and you see the first part is call "kami band solo", this usually appear to festival and one man live. Kami band bassist is BOH who is femoused by six string bass, but drummer is male called Aoyama Hideki. At the last SU has very good sound, all BABYMETAL head love her.

Hey! Fun fact i just discovered about this performance. This was the 2nd time they ever played this song in concert. The first time was the night before, at Budokan Red Night.

Like someone said, Mischief of the Metal Gods is the intro to Rondo of Nightmare Rondo interestingly is an English word; a recurring theme or couplet in classical music or poetry. A rondo of nightmare would be a dream that plays over and over again; this song is about battling depression and is probably their darkest song. In a concert Babymetal plays non-stop; the band they remind me of is the Ramones the way they tear through a set. But the singers need to catch their breath, so the lead singer Su, and the other two, Yui and Moa (aka MoiMoi) switch off. There are two solos for Su, and two for MoiMoi calling themselves Black Babymetal. So they get short rests and can hydrate. The only band I saw do that is the Talking Heads, where David Byrne would walk off the stage, and you have the Tom Tom Club. He comes back and its the Talking Heads again. So there are some Black Babymetal songs too, Onedari Daisakusen, and Song 4 (4 no Uta) which was written by Yui and Moa on the bus. Worth checking out because they are bonkers when they rule the stage Yes they are different, but the technical skills of Su and the band are so good, If you like music how can you not appreciate that

Pretty much every Kami-band member is considered a top ten at least in all of Japan. The second guitarist Ohmura actually learned advanced guitar shit from Mikio who's not in this video. Mikio was considered basically Gandalf on the guitar lol. And Ohmura is in top 10 shredders in Japan I think #8. Boh is a dope bassist too but I think he's mostly a session guy. The drummers have all been high level bosses. Also Su-metal was only like 15-16 during this

So you have your regular Babymetal songs that have all three girls. Then you have some that are Su's, the main vocalist solo songs. Then there are the Black Babymetal songs that are just the other two without Su. Some of my favorite Babymetal is Black Babymetal. The two Black Babymetal songs on the new album are some of Babymetal's hardest stuff.

autohmae Yes, but you're speaking of the current tours, and they're only two albums in right now. What I meant was that I hope they continue doing (perhaps even expanding) that sort of thing in the future. Of course, the main focus is going to be on Su, Moa and Yui, but I think it's really cool to see that spotlight switch around now and then. The Kami Band and the girls are becoming such a cohesive whole that is the BabyMetal experience, and I think it'll just become more awesome as they keep going. :)

You have said several times in your videos that you do not really understand where the hate comes from. Most of the hate seems to come from four types of people: 1) those who fail to look deeper than the surface "gimmick" of having three teenage Japanese pop idols front a metal band 2) those who hate the band because it is the trendy or "true" thing to do 2) those who honestly do not like it because the vocals and music are not what they like or consider to be real metal 3) those who are simply trolling I can respect people who honestly do not like the group, especially those who do so without hating on them. It's an anti bullying song, and this will give you an idea how professional the girls were 4 YEARS AGO! the 2 girls Yui and Moi were only 14 and Suzuka (Su) only 15! Unbelievable! Look at the small size of the riser platforms Yui and Moa used to dance on (not much on this song, but damn!)! Unreal! The musicians play like they are in studio.These girls and group are ttly Heavy Metal & Legit! They are crazy great, and I'm old time Iron Maiden and Metallica nut! Mikio-sensei passed in early 2018 but is not featured here. The guitarists are Leda (first soloist and arranger for the intro) and Ohmura Takayoshi. The kamiband has never had fixed membership. It is drawn from a pool of top-tier session musicians. Side-note: BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.
