@@Jordan-Ramses Peanut butter & banana have always been like bread & butter to me. Now, something that is a truly odd but decent combo is peanut butter & pickles. No joke, it's actually pretty good, the tang from pickles battle the rich fatty creaminess of the peanut butter in what results in a pretty good sammich.

Yeah Su-metal is pretty famous for her insane stage presence. That's why the company ownership picked her out REALLY early on. She had this kind of stage presence when she was like...8 lol. The whole band was actually pretty much built around her according to Koba. But yeah the Kami band is loaded with Top 5-10 session musicians in all of Japan so they have a pretty huge base of skill.

@Gardner De Aguiar The original working title, before it was officially named, was "Kill The Alice". From Rolling Stone magazine, April 2014: Q: Concerning Su-metal's solo songs we see that 'Akumu no Rhondo' has been released as a new single. Su-metal: It seems my two solo songs are 'Akatsuki' and Akumu no Rhondo'. 'Akatsuki' has the sense of being the 'redness of passion' (realize that Akatsuki means 'red moon') as is a song where I move around passionately. Compared with that, 'Akumu no Rhondo' possesses the feeling of 'blackness'. The temporary title for this song was 'Kill The Alice' based on an image of Alice falling into a cave and being flaying around in the darkness. This is a story where it seems that something is chasing me (this girl) around in the darkness of the cave where I can see nothing at all. Most of the songs I have sung up to meeting this one have been passionate songs but this song has allowed me to try my hand at new ways of singing and I feel I approach this song with a new way of expression each time I sing it.

⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 The 'Mischief of the Metal Gods' instrumental sometimes precedes 'Rondo of Nightmare', but not always. This was the Black Night at Budokan with Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars and Hideki Aoyama on drums. And of course BOH on bass. Not that many people play a six stringed bass to begin with, let alone tap one like that. Was pretty sure you would like that one. It's was already epic, and THEN Su rises up from beneath the stage. She has a unique penetrating clarity to her voice that makes it perfect for metal. Without just boosting her volume she can still be heard through heavy drums, bass and guitars. Lyrically this is probably their darkest song. It's about being trapped in a nightmare with no escape. It's one of four solo songs with just Su. There are also four songs with Yui and Moa performing together as Black BABYMETAL without Su.

This was the Kami Band (it means God Band as in the Gods of guitar, bass and drums) showing just a bit of what they can do ... in this one we had Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar and the one you pointed to as your favourite - he has toured with Marty Friedman ex of Megadeth), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). Then we have Su-metal, summoned from below, rising up to rule the stage and the whole arena aged just 16 at the time. This is probably the darkest of their songs lyrically. So next - you already have 'Headbanger' in sight (live at Legend 1997 or live at Budokan, Black Night - or both ... save the official video until after you have heard and seen a live version, live is better, but do watch that too). Others - perhaps 'BABYMETAL Death' live at Legend 1997, 'Sis Anger', 'Catch Me If You Can' live at Makuhari Messe (which is also Legend 1997) or ... anything and everything they've ever done really (just avoid compilation videos and most of Glastonbury as the sound mix by the BBC was terrible).

The first time I heard this one, I spent at least 3 hours looping Rondo... but then again, I've done that for already a few of Babymetal songs... just can't help it. I've watched you reacting to already a few songs (next will be Headbanger? ... sweet! That's another killer!) ... I would love to get your reaction to yet another side of Babymetal - Black Babymetal!! ... You did this Su-solo, I don't remember if you already reacted to one of the best songs ever - Akatsuki - if not, you should! Its another Su-solo - but maybe you are ready for the other side - Black Babymetal!! The Kawaii-est duet you'll ever see... check "4 no Uta" live in Budokan Black Night - A duet between Yui and Moa where both cheer the crown in the 4 corners of this awesome stage and the crowd responds back with "yon yon" (4,4) ... in fact "4 no Uta" is the only song written by both Yui and Moa during a bus trip... "Onedari Daisakusen" is another Black Babymetal duet and I don't know which one I like best or "Sis Anger"... anyways, I love them, so I could be recommending almost all catalogue :-P ... Great reactions Mr Rock N Roll! Yeah, there is something magical, hard to explain about the charm of these ladies and their music even for the most hard-core metal headbanger...

10:37 first: don't step on that ! Second: I would say, it's her stage presence and obviously singing talent. Even at age 16 she can draw you in. I may be bias, I'm a fan of both, but I like it to Floor Jansen stage presence.

this comment so underrated. somebody translated it and it's unofficial but... Akumu no Rondo (Nightmare Rondo) The waned moon has lit up the insanity rampant in the shade. The laughter resounds around. It bares its fangs and its eyes gleam. I can’t escape from it. It flickers slowly appearing and disappearing in my mind. A nightmare rondo is being repeated. The awakening light is gone far away out of my sight. I can do nothing but run through the darkness. In the woods, in the fountain, I hide myself holding my breath, but it’s still coming closer to me. A stagnant voice. An endless night. Ah… If I can no longer get out of here, won’t you show me your figure? It flickers slowly appearing and disappearing in my mind. A nightmare rondo is being repeated. The awakening light is gone far away out of my sight. I can do nothing but fall into the darkness. source: google and first result

like many have said before you aint seen nothing yet. every song is different. they have serious songs as well as funny ones. they do so many different genre of metal and make their own. don't do any of the newer songs til you do the older ones. headbanger, death, megitsune, yava, awadama fever. and the beginning song that started it all is doki doki but do the live from this show not the video. the video is their first and it was still an experiment at that time. so many more to have the speechless reaction you do now.

Ecylopaeda Britannica: Rondo, in music, an instrumental form characterized by the initial statement and subsequent restatement of a particular melody or section, the various statements of which are separated by contrasting material. Wiki: Form Typical tonal structure of classical seven-part rondo, late 18th and early 19th centuries In rondo form, a principal theme (sometimes called the "refrain") alternates with one or more contrasting themes, generally called "episodes", but also occasionally referred to as "digressions" or "couplets". That is why this is titled "Rondo" of Nightmare...because of how the music/lyrics are structured ..at least that's my thought..could be wrong..?

FINALLY YOU REACTED TO RONDO!!!! I love this performance a lot. FUN FACT: Rondo of nightmare is actually one of the darkest songs of babymetal. Also yes, the band is exceptional. My favorite of which is BOH (The bass player) they are all masterminds of the instruments they play. Also what you said about Suzuka "That there's something magical about her" is pretty accurate. There's something about the music they do that contrasts her vocals quite well. What's fascinating to me, personally, is how she is able to do multiple vocal styles and make them all sound great. She does Rap (BxMxC, Iine...), POP (Karate, Syncopation...), Slow/Emotional (No rain No Rainbow, Shine...). You should listen to more Babymetal man, seems like you enjoy their stuff a lot. And trust me there's more to explore. Also for recommendations, try Akatsuki (I recommend the performance at BUDOKAN BLACK NIGHT) next. It's my personal favorite, its another Suzuka solo.

Although “kwaii” is often translated as “cute,” it doesn’t mean that when used to describe an adult in Japan. It’s more like “cool” in the Fonzarelli sense. Su-Metal explains this in Megitsune. That is, Su-Metal projects great strength, combined with respect for others and a tendency to de-escalate tense situations. I think this is why fans feel better about themselves and others after a Babymetal concert.

It's been a year, so i'm late to the party but regardless great reaction, i'm entertained. ^^ You're very enthusiastic, which is a good thing, i'm also like that, losing my shit and all when i like something, be it a movie, a song etc. :D Babymetal is incredible, they grow in you and for Suzuka, words fail me, i can't describe her, her voice, her talent.. Suffice to say she also grows in you. :) I discovered them a little less than 2 years ago, and in a way they changed my life with all the love, energy and positivity coming from their songs and her voice. Given enough time, there is a possibility; when you finally fully resonate with the band, when a specific switch in your head goes off, when you're free from old traditional perspectives on metal and rock music, oh boy, then you'll fall in love with them. :D In addition to all these, they are somehow incredibly cool, they are badass in a way we never saw before, they are textbook definition of unique and original. I was never gonna quit smoking, i was a heavy smoker, and enjoying it, their music inspired me to do so, i also began daily running listening to them, you can find people on the net talking about how positively Babymetal influenced their lives, it's true, they do that. :) And diversity is one of the key elements of this band, they have diverse songs. Rondo is one of the darkest songs, if you liked this song, you can try Akatsuki, a little less darker, or try Death. Cute can be the most cool and badass amongst the others. You'll feel this as you watch their older live shows. They proved that while they were like 14,15 and now they are in their early 20's. Suzuka is 23. An analogy...Angels are so innocent, beautiful, naive and elegant creatures when you think of them. Yet they are more powerful and ferocious than demons when they fight. Babymetal is like that too. It's also like this band carries both demonic and angelic energies. Or both male and female energies as you also pointed, and you were right, she alone could balance out all the male energy, all by herself. And add to that, nearly the whole arena was fully male, and her stage presence becomes even more unbeliavable, and add to that she was like 15 or something when this was recorded, then it becomes infinitely more impressive. :D

I think this song if nothing else highlights Su's talent, both in vocal and presence, I mean the band shows just how good they are in the intro and then she just comes in and is singly able to hold centre stage with them.
