They already premiered live five of the new songs with the choreo / opening and closing numbers included. "Mirror Mirror" and "MAYA" are definitely two of my favorites from THE OTHER ONE.

When you talk about 'Maya' in particular being heavy in a palatable way, I think what you get there is that it's not heavy just to be heavy. It's heavy in the places where it enhances the composition, and backs off in the spots where that's called for. And it's just brilliant songwriting.

We were all absolutely trolled for months with their slow drip releases - brilliant strategy so we'd all be thinking that they'd changed and gone more "ballad-metal" BUT Mirror Mirror, Believing, Metalizm & MAYA have throttled that perception! Three videos? I'm all for it! The Album is good so far, but I want to hear the live versions as well! Happy Fox Day although it was yesterday, we got a new 3rd member!🎉🎊🤘😎🤘🦊 Now it is one of the former Avengers and not Yui. Some people are very sad about it, which I can understand, but I also want to have MOMOMETAL give it her best shot, as she worked hard to join and also her smile and stage presence fits perfectly in my humble opinion. It's like a little sister to Moa and I hope she can bring in her own style and charme to proceed in the next adventures for this group. Of course we'll never forget Yui, but for whatever reason she left, we'll keep her in our hearts and cheer on her succesor as those are very big shoes to fill! But it's someone from Sakura Gakuin and I hope even some people with doubts give her the benefit of doubt, to surprise them hopefully with good times in the future! Mirror mirror, who's the fairest of them all? You got a power. Magic power. Maya. Say my name! So. As with Light and Darkness, the rest of this album has completely laid to rest my concerns. With the first 3 (Divine Attack, Monochrome, and Metal Kingdom), just was kinda concerned with the fact that they were all structurally similar, while still all individually amazing songs, and it felt a bit like BABYMETAL had forgone the things I love most about them (that is, genre mixing in a way totally unique to them while still creating cohesive songs that are absolutely bangers). And like L&D, Mirror Mirror and the rest of this album have completely thrown my concerns out the window of a 100 story building, smashing them like flotsam on the pavement below! I love the way this album has turned out! As for the songs you've gone over here... Mirror Mirror, as you've said, kept up that feeling of epicness, while still managing to be one of their most proggy songs to date! It really was all over the place! But that just made the choruses such a beautiful resolution, and I think the video really illustrated that wonderfully. All these chaotic images of life, coming and going in a flash like the ever changing rifts in the intro, then the tunneling effects in the lead up to the verse, taking you into the almost Gothic fairytale look of the mirrors during those verses. Really good imagery all throughout! And then you get to the chorus...and like the melodious sound you get the image of a bird soaring over tranquil water and beautiful (kinda abstract) images. And after, during the huge rest of soft strums (almost complete silence) is just a white screen with some ripple-on-the-water effects to the strumming. Beautiful. And then it takes you back through it all again! This time with those industrious images over a very industrious breakdown (kinda reminded me of Awadama Fever here)! Just a really fitting video! Super well done! And while I wish we'd get more true MVs in the vein of Megitsune and Karate, with such effort put into a lyric video, I'm perfectly happy with what they've given us! As for Maya. Magic power, Maya. As you've said, BABYMETAL have really getting down the knack of blending really heavy music into something palatable for anyone. I think I all comes down to Su's super clean and beautiful vocals. They blend over the music and bring a respite to all the heavy of the instrumentals (and I'm the sort that loves that heaviness). And yes, the writers, Koba, and/or the ladies themselves leave space for other things to soften the sound (piano, synthetic, ect.) in the music itself, I truly feel that without Su's vocal, even those things would fall short! And it goes without saying that Moa's backing vocals adds a layer that brings in lightness and fun! And they really go a long way to the overall cohesiveness of the sound that BABYMETAL always portray (that is, heavy metal blended with light and fun lol). I won't bring up the rest of the tracks here, but know that I'm waiting on those reactions! But, I'm my honest opinion, there is no dip! Kitsune dao! \m/

Alan and the guys from Dicodec are good friends giving so much help understanding the composition behind the songs. MAYA is one of the most enigmatic for me, when you see the credits you'll know what I'm talking about. Regardless is the best track to hedoban for me.🦊🤘🔥 The nasty riffs reminds to "Ice Nine Kills - Rainy Day", and probably some people will complain about it, just remember they got inspiration from another song that's heavily famous called Awolination - Run, used a lot of time in memes. The name Maya reminds me a couple of things, like certain little bee, a character from a fighting game called Killer Instinct I used to love, and of course the ancient tribe from Mexico, not sure who is Maya here, maybe the new official member, the one in the credits, new tag? OTFGK. But i find out Maya in Hindu myth is the representation of illusion (which is the theme in this song), so that might be the reference.
