Baby metal was just beginning to gain popularity, and at that time it was not yet so famous against the backdrop of promoted J-pop groups. I think back then a lot of people didn't take Babymetal seriously, and they thought it was a one-day thing, some kind of freak project. Therefore, they were not even allowed to sing in this video. Although Suzuka was able to sing well.

I remember they were pretty popular "overseas" even back in the Doki days, but no one was paying much attention to them in their home... many think their office just bankrolled them into Sonicsphere but it took them years of hard work opening tiny idol shows and working their way up to superstardom!!

ベビメタの飛び級感が半端ない、史上最年少での武道館って言うのがよくわかる映像ですね、歳若く海外でのブレークでしかも年寄り揃いのメタル界だったお陰でそれこそガーシー的な世界から隔離されて無事に成長出来たようですね。今後は自己責任となるのですがスーパーレディーとして幸せに成って欲しいですね。

Possibly just after the Singapore performance? You can look at how tiny Yui and Moa are relative to Su. And Su relative to the other groups.🍎👸👼❤❤❤😺😺😺

Singapore was 7 months later, this is just after Suzuka became Sakura Gakuin's president but in that DVD I don't think BabyMetal performance is included. As far as I know, there's footage of the 1st SG fes (2010), Tokyo Idol Festival 2011, 2nd Single release and then this one (also in MelodiX tv show briefly in Febraury 2011)

Surprisingly, only ℃-ute and Cheeky Parade have disbanded, the others are still around (with some member changes) Pretty wild that at this point, BabyMetal only had 11 months left as everyone thought they would disband once Suzuka graduated from Gakuin...
