Thank you BABYMETAL. One of my favorite bands. The Thailand addition brings tears to my eyes. I'm 62, and my wife, who died suddenly and unexpectedly earlier this year was from Thailand. This makes me think about her, in a very good way (she also often made Papaya Salad for me .. super spicy, and super delicious.) My Daughter (step daughter, also Thai born) is now working in Japan, and we had planned to go visit her some time later this year or early next, and I was going to try and plan it around seeing some great Japanese bands with one of those fantastic with a Japanese audiences (Babymetal & Band-Maid concerts in Japan being my dream come true wish, but I have many other bands I would love to see over there as well) ... I am still planing on doing this (along with bringing my wife's ashes back to Thailand to be laid to rest in a temple with her family) which will be bitter-sweet, but if this experience taught me anything it's to experience life while you still can. Great big thank you Babymetal for making my pain a bit more tolerable. Love you to bits!!!

@David Landry I'm very sorry for your loss. It's great that this song can be so meaningful to you. The lyrics are a lot deeper than they might appear on the surface, with F.HERO's rap comparing life to smashing sweet and spicy things together with a mortar in order to release their flavor.

Mind Blown. I just had to find out what elese was happening in Japan for music, and boy was I ever glad I did. I plan on heading over to Japan this winter (my daughter is now working there now) and hoping to see several bands if I can ... then off to Thailand to bring my wifes ashes home (and maybe check out Chiang Mai to see if I would want to retire there when I am ready in 2 years or so.)

Thrandaylen it’s called somtom. It’s a very popular street food dish in Thailand. The fire, I believe, is a reference to the flames of the wok that you see at many street food stalls in Thailand. Especially the sparks that you see in this video. Very reminiscent of the look of Thai street food. I’m pretty sure Koba, or whoever wrote this song, did so after a trip (or perhaps many) to Thailand.

You usually can't by performer or venue rules. I don't know if it's really a matter of respectfulness. If a group actually allows filming usually there will be quite a bit of it. Though there might be a little more respect for others around you (or fear of shame) - if people want to film in a place that allows it there's more of a culture that you don't film above your head so most are front, back or sides. If you don't really have a good angle there you just don't film while I feel in other countries everyone no matter how shitty their cell phone camera is or if they're too short and are just filming people's heads they're still filming above their head for some reason.
@Soufriere843 жыл бұрын
