What they did with Ahyeon in Batter Up is just weird. I'm no music expert but her part sounds so out of place. All the members sing in the same tone in the pre-chorus (almost to the point you can't even distinguish who's who) yet Ahyeon sings in a completely different one and it sounds too out of place. Maybe they'll also change the other memeber's part and make them sing like that but, if they don't, it'd be weird. It doesn't sound right. This is not her fault, but the producer's.

It'll be a long comment, just a warning lol I see some people in the comments attacking fans who're upset that Rora isn't treated like a main vocalist and saying things like "Rami is the main vocalist". Calm down please. First, Baemon's positions haven't announced yet except center (Ahyeon) and rappers (Ruka, Asa). So most people does the logical thing and considers the technically best vocalist as the main vocalist at the moment. Second, they're just expressing their disappointment because they're upset/afraid/angry that the potential of Baemon's technically best vocalist is being wasted. It's as simple as that, there's no need to fight with each other. Also, idk why but most of the fandom underestimate Rora so much! I think it's because a lack of knowledge (that's fair, not everyone have to know about singing) and that's why I'd like to clarify some things in a technical sense. I also noticed that Ahyeon-Pharita comparisons were made in the comments over the Batter Up part, so I'll touch on that aspect as well. If you're a casual kpop listener, think everyone's always talking about weird words like "support", "range" etc. and you don't know what they mean, you can read on too lol. I'll try to explain in the simplest way. When we sing, not only our vocal cords, as everyone believes, but many parts of our body work together like an instrument. Diaphragm, lungs, larynx muscles, pharynx, oral cavity/tongue and head cavities/sinuses for example. As you can see, I said some respiratory organs/structures as well. Breathing correctly has a very important place in singing because it's actually a part of the singing process. All vocal sounds are created by vibrations in the larynx caused by air from the lungs. What we call "support" is actually breath support. And why they call it like that? Bc it really supports your process. When we sing properly, we need bigger and longer breaths than in everyday life breathing. Making it a routine (if you wanna sing properly it needs to be routine) requires a certain amount of energy and stamina. This higher need for energy and stamina requires more muscle control and coordination in supporting the work of the diaphragm and the function of the larynx. This is where the term "support can be developed" comes from. Because muscles are organs that can be developed with the right instructions. When we talk about vocal range, you need to know the difference between natural (singable) range and supported (vocable/performable) range. Being able to make a note doesn't mean that it comes out in the right position in a healthy way. For example, Ahyeon's Dangerously cover. She did a G5 in that song. This means that G5 is in her natural range, she can do it. But can she support it? That's the question you need to ask. Tension and strain negatively affect singers' vocal health in long-term. So it becomes important for singers to have a good technique. Rora, Rami, Ahyeon, Chiquita and Pharita are Baemon's vocal line. Asa and Ruka are the rap line. I think we all know this. 5- Pharita: G#3/A3-G#4/A4 4- Chiquita: Bb3-A4/Bb4 3- Ahyeon: G#3-A4/Bb4 2- Rami: A3-A4/Bb4 1- Rora: F#3/G3-B4 Here's their *supported* range ranking. If anyone still says "But YG said Ahyeon has the widest vocal range", please remember the difference I mentioned above. She can do the notes but without support, it only hurts her in a long-term carrier. So, Rami and Rora. One of the biggest reasons why this debate is still going on is that we lack material on members, especially Rora. It's natural, it's their first album with all members after all. But once her supported range and potential are realized, it'd be foolish to push Rora to the back of the group. Since their debut, she hasn't been given the parts that a main vocalist should get and that's why it's even more difficult to find material for her. You see the problem, right? It's not about who's the main vocal (there can be 2 main vocalists in a group after all), the problem here is that the member who's more likely to be the main vocalist is treated less like one. This is the main point that people are upset about. And I'm sorry but they're not wrong. For "Pharita's prechorus was better" debate... They're both good and enough. The difference isn't that one is worse, but that one is chesty. Ahyeon didn't soften it like the others. So it was strange at first because you're used to listening to the other one. I think when it's released, soft part of Chiquita, medium part of Rora-Rami and the dominant part of Ahyeon in the prechoruses balanced each other in overall song. Also I think Ahyeon will take the beginning part of Batter Up too. Honestly, I can hear her in that intro lol. I'm leaning towards Chiquita's "sting like a bee" part too. We'll wait and see.

Rami, Rora, Chiquita, Pharita and Ahyeon are the vocalists - that’s 5 members to split vocal lines between already. Ruka and Asa are going to struggle for lines other than the designated rap segments.

If you go to the Batter Up MV and go to the second chorus where Chiquita and Ruka sing, you will notice that in the posted sampler it is Ruka singing. In the teaser that Ahy posted on the girls' account she is singing the first pre-chorus of SITM, so there is nothing stopping the producers from changing the order in which they sing to fit the verses that became Ahy's. the first part of Better Up could have been: pre chorus Chiquita - Pharita with the chorus Ahyeon and Chiquita; and the second part with the pre chorus Rora - Ahyeon with the chorus Rami and Ruka, before the final dance break
