Thanks for the reaction and insights from your experience on the set. I was already jealous just seeing that you had the opportunity to be in the same scene with Rami. Then when you mentioned how friendly she was when interacting with you and people on the set, my jealousy doubled. Oh well...at least I get to see her and hear her in the music video. I love the song. All the members performed their parts spectacularly.
@imnotmarvinmusic20 күн бұрын
I have another story about her that I'll tell (only) you, since you like her... During one of the longer breaks, we were making chit chat when some of the "real" dancers joined us and before long, they were asking her to teach them the group's choreography which was different than ours. So the production played the song for them and she taught them the group's choreo. The bts camera guys were filming it so maybe YG will release it with the behind the scenes videos they usually do.
@TEAM__POSEID0N20 күн бұрын
@@imnotmarvinmusic Thank you for that story. Sounds like Rami. I could probably write several paragraphs about how much she continues to impress and amaze me. Such a talented, smart, approachable and likeable personality. Have you had the chance to see her on the Lee Mujin Service show (Ep. 125) that came out about two months ago? Well worth a watch if you enjoy soulful, R&B singing. A lot of very interesting interactions and information too in her interview with the host.

I'm 59 and I love Blackpink, Everglow, & BabyMonster. I have heard many people who have met all of the girls in those 3 groups and have never heard anything but compliments on how friendly they are. I don't recall hearing the same about any other group. Seldom I will hear about 1 member of other groups who was nice, but never any other entire group. Thanks for sharing your story and this video.

I don't know Everglow, but both Black Pink and BabyMonster are with YG... maybe it's something they do in their training to make them more friendly and accessible to their fans. Of course it's perfectly understandable that with so many fans there isn't enough time for everyone. I'm 58 so glad to know I'm not their oldest fan anymore!!! HAHA

@@imnotmarvinmusic Several men in their 60s I work with who also love Kpop. All of us had given up on American music years ago seems to be the common theme. Check out Everglow. They should be under YG = same type of vibe, talent level, skills, and musicallity. They are with a company who knows nothing about marketing. I would love for them to go to YG once their current contract ends. If they were with YG then would be as successful as Blackpink. "Bon Bon Chocolate", "Dunn Dunn", "Audios", "La Di Da", "Slay", "Pirate", " "First", "Zombie" have MV and their B sides are awesome too. I still have their B side song "Colourz" in my top 3 of the year with "Drip" & "Forever".

Thanks for the encouragement... Rami was very friendly and comfortable chatting with all of us. It was like a group of peers hanging out while the production changed camera positions, yet she was the only group member and the rest of us were extras. That never happens.

Thanks for your comment. It was truly unforgettable. I didn't do well telling all the stories, so here's one more and maybe you can help me figure out the correct name of the group member because I'm not sure... In the record store scene when all 7 are dancing, the member close to where I was wearing a red/green/yellow dress was wearing these badazz high heeled leather boots that say "Babymonster" on them. When she walked past me the first time I said "Oh my god!" and she stopped and turned to me almost panicked. Then I said "I have those same boots!" and all 7 of them cracked up. That's when I knew they all speak English very well.
@danlaurel31120 күн бұрын
@@imnotmarvinmusic not sure about the particular member but ill have to rewatch the video all over again and again, somehow maybe i could catch her, maybe you could somehow give me a time stamp within the vidoeo to help me identify her, still i could name to yoo all the 7 members though

@@imnotmarvinmusic Sounds like you're talking about Asa. She's the one who fits that description. (She's the one with the black and white boots, standing closest to the "pay here" sign at around the 3:08 to 3:09 interval. It's only a fraction of a second there, but I can see her whole outfit, she's got a yellow skirt, a mostly black top from the front, but with the green and red colors also.)

I’m probably not far from your age so maybe I can be in their next video 😉😉 Were you contracted to super secrecy? Where was this filmed? How many takes for scenes you were in? How good is your Korean. Wow! Thanks so much! ❤❤❤-❤-❤❤❤

Yes we had to sign an agreement not to discuss anything about the video or the song until after the video is released. That's pretty normal. We had to leave our phones in the dressing room anytime we went out to the set. I think their shooting schedule was five days total, Monday to Friday. Monday and Tuesday were the biggest days for additional actors and I was part of the Monday shoot. In total it was about 15 hours of shooting before I was finished and leaving after 1:00am. On my day, they filmed in a small town east of Seoul called Namyangju that is well known for it's many film studios. I've filmed in and around here many times. Even some of Squid Game was shot here. My Korean is good enough to survive, but not enough to have a real conversation. Luckily the BM girls all speak English!

@ thanks so much for the interesting info. From your video and all your comments you seem to be a very likable person. I was thinking about your work, it must take a lot of patience waiting for a few moments of action on movie and video sets! Having to go from milling around waiting, you suddenly need to amp it up and groove like a boss. From what we see of you, you successfully amped it up! Of course such a fire song might make that a bit easier. Oh, and maybe, just maybe you’ll be visible somewhere in the bts, do you think? I’ll be keeping an eye out for you! BTW, did you watch all the pre-debut videos? The “black and white” performances on the YG channel and other stuff on BABYMONSTER’s channel. If not, please react to these if you are so inclined. Thanks again!

In between takes I was always practicing the choreo... a couple times my agent would say "Michael, sit down and save your energy", haha, but I was really stressed about learning the choreo because it was hard for me. And that thing they do with the elbows at about 500 mph, forget it! I had no chance. But I actually love the challenge of transition my true self into the character in any job. It's like a game in your mind always perfecting the character. Then sometimes a little before and other time right as the directors says "Action" you snap into the character.
