Yea BabyMonster are the first group to debut in YG entertainment in 8 years since Blackpink. Which is why they’re called their little sisters. Some of the Blackpink members also helped in their training and evaluations before they debuted. They’re very talented and a complete group with members that can all rap,sing, and dance. K-Pop is not really a music genre. It is more a term for the Korean mainstream music industry and the system in which they train and debut music artists (= "idols"). You can find all sorts of genre influences within K-Pop and the concept can switch with each new comeback or even within one single song. YG the label of Blackpink and Babymonster is known for especially strong hip hop influences within the K-Pop industry... Other groups and other labels tend to focus more on other genres. Dreamcatcher for example leans more into the pop rock /metal direction, others might go the EDM route and most will mix it up regularly. EDIT: If you wanna learn a bit how the "K-Pop System" works... Babymonster has great introduction videos for each member (around 8-10 min per member) and also a reality show called "Last Evaluation". You'll get a lot of insight and behind the scenes with those (from the initial auditions, through their trainee years, until debut). Its very worth reacting to. I would suggest to give at least the introductions a try and see if its something you would like to continue.

FYI, K-Pop doesn't actually mean Korean Pop as in the pop genre itself. That's where it stems from but think about it as Popular (music) culture. So it's the Korean Pop Culture or the Korean Music Industry. That's what K-Pop is. Hence why K-Pop actually includes all genres (it's just that mostly the pop songs will chart so they will be more visible but there's many sounds in K-pop). It's part of Korea's way of branding itself on the global scale for soft power status. K-Pop, K-Cinema, K-Drama, K-Fashion, K-Beauty, put a K in front and you know "the brand" and what to expect.

Actually, "Click, clack" is an experimental song for them , the 1st one where all of them rap, even the main vocalists. They have 4 main vocals: Rami (the blonde one), Rora, Pharita & Chiquita (the maknae of the group - she's born on 20th of oct 2009, 14 y old!!!, the one with really baggy clothes), Ahyeon- who is a jack of all trades, a real monster, excellent in singing/ rapping & 2 main rappers: Asa (Japanese - the one with a more pitchy voice , who's "flossing" 😝) & Ruka (also Japanese - the oldest of the group, 21y old). Regarding if they can sing, u should check Rami's rendition of CIL's "Bloodsucker" on Lee Mujin Service live singing show (if u decide to react to it, u'll have problems with copyright, if it's not blurred or covered somehow, or Ahyeon interpretation of "Dangerously". Just search YT for these 2 specifically & u'll have an epiphany. They are considered by many, even fans of other groups, as the future reigning queens of kpop, with amazing presence, live vocals & dancing... the BEST of the BEST. I consider them at XG's lvl of talent, although XG has a totally different style, since they're not kpop...Similar to XG, they trained for several years (only Chiquita,, thai, the smallest one had the shortest training period, of only 2 y and half, but she is so talented that she managed to cover the gap between her & the older trainees. The others were trained for 3-6 y & by the best in the industry, YG - Blackpink's company & it shows)

It rly is a return to her roots & such deep meaning lyrics & appropriate m/v, truly shocking). Now, if u ever decide to react to some of (G) I-dle's songs & m/v's I' ll be a such a happy camper😁, u would have covered already my top 3 favs: Black pink, (G) I-dle & XG. I recommend starting with these "Lion", "Uh-oh", "Nxde", "Tomboy", "Allergy"& "Queencard"(they are related), "Revenge", "I want that" & "Superlady". They have such a distinctive, edgy sound & always choose to not give a shit about Korean general public opinion (which is quite conservative & obtuse), tackling sensitive subjects like: female abuse, women empowerment, the influence of social media on young people, the female status in Korean society & many, many more. And it's all due to the fact that, Soyeon, their leader & main rapper (in my opinion the best female rapper in K-pop), it's a music genius & a prodigy, her being the main composer, producer of almost all their songs. She truly is their guiding light (& recognised & respected as one of the best composers / producers in the whole K-pop music industry)
