YG does not set out to recruit copies of Blackpink but does have a formula that is followed. 1. Potential - Don't worry too much about skills because they will teach them. 2. Variance in vocal, visuals, & personality 3. Likeable personalities - They are told to be authentic and be themselves. This is the formula that allows more fans to be able to find at least one in the group they can relate to. At least one will have a voice, personality, or visual someone likes. Being authentic is the biggest key as eventually a fake will be found out and then the entire group is done (guilt by association). Also, as Rose' says about Blinks, "They even like our flaws." People are flawed and that makes them more real and relatable. You hear so many reports of companies telling their idols to act a certain way to be liked and that doesn't work. Blackpink was originally going to be a 9 member group, those other 5 were not cut because of their skills.

One thing about YG they will look for idols who are all rounders for their group If 2ne1 has CL, a good at rap, vocal ,attitude on the stage and anything 😭 BP has Jennie, and maybe Ahyeon is a babymonster representative who has a YG DNA vibes and she is also all rounder 🔥 Treasure Has Hyunsuk/Yoshi rappers who are good at playing with vocals and have YG DNA Like bigbang has GD 🔥

Love your reactions. I recommend you checking out the black and white individual Live Performances first before your next Introduction videos or you can react to them after all the Introductions. YG released those first to tease people what these girls are capable of. Their individual live performances are really good. I also recommend watching the Last Evaluation series. You get to see them work together and how they are judged by their senior peers and producers. Really good show. Look forward to seeing more of your reactions!
