In terms of Suhyun’s comment about Ahyeon, keep in mind these girls had been competing not only with each other but thousands of others to reach this point. She knew how driven Ahyeon was. Yet this was the first time these girls had worked together. She was simply pleased to see that Ayheon is willing to set her ambition to the side for the good of the team. That she complimented the others rather than trying to overpower them with her vocal range. That she took initiative when distributing parts for the song, supported Pharita when she was losing confidence and worked with her to help Ruka with English. It was nice to see the eye contact and expressive connection during their performance, because from here on all of these girls will be judged, not only as individuals, but for how they work as a group... and Ahyeon is a natural leader who lifts up those around her.

I think what she meant was because Ahyeons voice is so powerful she tends to outshine or male her voice very different that doesn't blend but she was able to te her voice a little more

." I don't know who she is.?" Well, let me tell you. That is Lee Suhyun, younger sister. In the K-Pop sibling Duo AKMU. Also IMO The best female singer in YG. A history that includes Gummy, Park Bom, Lee Hi and yes Rosé. There is a Korean variety show from 2020 called Sea of Hope. There are a number of videos on KZbin of Suhyun and Rosé singing together. Interesting to look at.

Agreed at this moment, lee suhyun is THE best singer of YG and not only that but in my opinion, she's right up there in terms of technical ability with the bests of k-pop singers... Not to mention she has almost 10 years of experience with her as she herself debuted when she was 13-14 yo so probably she's the only one out there who understands BM members right now

The instructor you don't know is Lee Su Hyun. She and her brother, Lee Chan Hyuk, form the duo AKMU. They have a very interesting back story. They are the children of missionaries and as youngsters were considered musical prodigies. YG signed them in 2013 or 24.

Both groups expected hip hop with an intense beat, it's obvious to expect this from a BLACKPINK song, but these are vocal missions so the producer choose two songs that enhance the vocals. And this time too the girls have lived up to expectations, it's not easy to sing a BLACKPINK song and do it justice!

Minor correction to my comment previously about Rose' not doing the song live. I may have conveyed what I meant to say wrong. Actually, I remember Rose' saying in an interview that this was the most vocally challenging song she ever done. She has performed the song live many times and when she does she sings the hook differently, more the way Pharita and Ahyeon closed it out here.

OMG u don't know Lee Suhyun.. I think u should google her to be able to understand why she's one of the mentors. She is a famous South Korean singer under YG Entertainment also. U should listen to her songs..
