In the first few years one thing I didn't perceive was looking forward to what baby would need clothes wise for the upcoming season. I remember the temperature changing one fall and I didn't have a coat for him. You get so busy day to day and suddenly you are needing different clothing items when the seasons change. A shopping day might be something to add to your calendar in preparation for those changing circumstances.

Hello to you both… the only things I can say to you are … take one day at a time… don’t stress and overwhelm yourselves with what you should do. You can read all the books and get all the advise but, in real life… you will fall right into it. A baby fills a place in your heart that you never knew was empty. You will be great parents!!❤️ P.S. motherhood is instinctive.

One thing I remember from my firstborn, was I limited visitors at my home. Was the best thing for my mental health, not listening to well meant but not wanted childcare advice. One hour visiting time but ONLY the time that is good for you. You, baby and Daddy have to find a routine to help with adjusting and enjoying being a family of three. Once you are comfortable than visiting times can increase.

Have a live in nanny, mom or grandma so when you are tired and both need sleep ( everyday …lol ) or want a few hours for alone time they can care for the baby. I am a retired nurse and did that for my son and his wife and it made a huge difference for them. I also bonded with my grandson so very special for me too. I only was involved when they asked otherwise had my own space and didn’t bother them. Best advice I can give you. Enjoy preparing for your baby to arrive. Excited to see your nursery. 🇨🇦

You could have asked the baby to pull the ingrown hair from the inside ☺️ Others can give you a heads up on some things but your baby is custom made,only one like her/him in the world and you will both marvel at the things your little one will teach you that no one would expect.Nice to share your progression to parenthood.
