Love Ryan Stiles and I love his character Herb here but him replacing Charlie would have been a bit tricky. Are you suggesting that he should have bought the house and Alan come live with him? Don’t know if he had that kind of money! The other possibility would have been that Alan inherited the house and Herb moved in with him. Although I think their dynamic would be very different since both of them had similar personalities. Could have worked though if they got the script right.
