Same here, also a first time dad, already two-month-old, and also got the sling as a gift. Very helpful video. I have one question though, last step in the video, where the lady ties it up in the front doesn't work for me, because it's too short (or I am too big for it). Is it okay if I just tie it in the back after the crossover, without coming back around the front?

We have 13 laying hens, 5 Rhode Island Red chicks and one happy rooster. We are raising rabbits and will be also be raising our first 25 meat birds soon. We have chosen a heritage breed, Freedom Rangers for this purpose. In addition, we have a large family garden in which we are planting non gmo vegetables. My baby is just over a month old and I’ve only used my wrap once, but you’ve made it look so easy I can’t wait to try it again! I bought the boba and just had baby 5 three days ago---i always used a regular carrier but you can't actually use them when the baby is a newborn because of the pressure it puts on their little hips so I always waited until a few weeks old and then was always bothered by the right on my back. Super excited to be wearing my baby now with this soft stretchy wrap-- can't believe I missed out on it with the first 4 kiddos!!! Grant it, they were SUPER expensive when we had baby 1 and baby 2!!!! I also love your tip on wearing a tank and then a cardigan on too--- perfect way to regulate temperature!!! Thanks so much!!!!

You NEVER should put a baby facing out when they get older. It can do harm to their spine, groin area and their hips. You ALWAYS want to keep them facing towards you so their spine can always have a natural curve to them when they are in the wrap. So don't ever put a baby facing out. Plus it can be uncomfortable for your baby. Yes, I am sure that they want to see everything that the world has to offer, don't you want what is best for your baby?

Uhm. You are mistaken. What is your definition of older? Because babies who can sit up on their own are perfectly fine to sit facing out in baby carriers and wraps. As long as the carrier or wrap is being used properly.

@@teenrockstar1 for a newborn just leave them scrunched up with legs both inside the cross-cross portion. Once they stop curling up their legs position them with knees up flat against you. It helps with comfort and hip formation!

My son in law bought this for my daughter to use with my grandson and we couldn't understand the directions, although we got the safety instructions, and you covered everything so well! I can use it too, now! I'm acting as their night doula because the baby and I are night owls.
