Thank you for this, Graham; a Meditation, if ever there was one! There's a lot of very fine detail in what's going on here and I deeply appreciate it. Thanks again.

Hi Karl. Thanks sooooo much. This was such an icon and have felt intimidated by all the brilliant interpretations out there. No doubt there will divided opinion especially about the treatment of the second section. Anyway really glad you liked it.

Oh WOW ! 😍😍😍 This is SO BEAUTIFUL. so ELEGANT...! ! ! . Some how this version is so MAGNIFICENTLY SERENE, and PEACEFUL. The only reason this wouldn't bring me DEEP REPOSE,... is that I wouldn't be able to risk missing one note! Eat Your heart out Glenn Gould !!!

Receiving such an appreciative but unsolicited review as this has got to be as good as receiving a Grammy nomination. Thanks, Geopholus X 1,000

Ah, dear, dear Rothko - to paraphrase what you (rightly) wrote, how Grahamy of yours this arrangement :) And oh, how beautiful is this aria, even without the variations this piece would stand on its own.

Apparently he was always listened to Mozart as he painted. I echo your thinking with spotlighting the viola part in B4. I'm expecting traditionalists to take issue with the opening of the second section where the melody becomes an obligato to the tenor! but for me it works sounds spontaneous and.... Grahamy Thanks a mill, OrzMondo.
