Very beautiful! I just didn't understand why people are sitting with their backs to the singers and the musicians?! :(

They are in the choir loft, at the back of the church. This is intentional by architectural design to eliminate any sense of show or entertainment which might detract from the church service. The singers and players are to be heard and not seen. This seems typical of 17th & 18th century Lutheran church buildings.
