Schwarzkopf's sinuous instrumental phrasing and focused tone are exquisite. The verve and panache of the first aria contrasts beautifully with the linear movements that follow. Her majestic 'Sei Lob und Preis' is a wonderful preparation for the jubilant 'Alleluia'. A great gift to posterity.
