do not forget the brillant and fabulous `la petite bande` of sigisvald kuijken. an institution in/for baroque music. but these here are on a similar level. unfortunately there is a big problem with the offspring in general. too less young people are interested in baroque, learning to play expensive and partial fragile historic instruments....

Destruction of the planet is a lie and fascism is the answer to the real problems, just like it was in the 30s, but that perfect, free society wasn't allowed to continue on and was then slandered with absurd lies. When I listen to the performance, the important thing is "Musik als Klangrede" or "Der musikalische Dialog". In this respect, Sato and his orchestra are perfect. Bravo!

Wunderschöne und lebhafte Aufführung dieser perfekt komponierten Suite mit gut harmonisierten und perfekt vereinigten Tönen aller historischen Instrumente. Die Sarabande klingt besonders schön und echt lyrisch mit bezauberndem Ton der genialen Soloflöte. Der geniale Violinist/Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete Ensemble im rhythmischen Tempo und mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Alles ist wunderbar!

Un sonido limpio , cristalino , muy bonito , la flauta travesera me encanta como suena , el clave muy bien y el primer violin perfecto. este conjunto suena muy bien y sabe tocar.
I love this suite through and through, but the Overture's definitely my favorite movement. There's an air of simplicity to the fugue even though it's actually really complex music.

The 3rd movement- Sarabande - is a Kanon between the violins and the base-part with one bar distance. When you know this you can perhaps better undestand this music.

Over fourty years ago my mom made me a tape. She read "the little mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen and used this music. It was the birthday gift for my sixths birthday. One of the best things my mom ever did for me.

Of course the Badinerie at the end is very well-known and played so often that it has become somewhat boring, but it is always good to hear it in the context of the whole suite. I also like that the whole orchestra is swinging while playing it. Quite enjoyable to watch!
