Bach Prelude with Folk Instruments! LODESTAR TRIO Rydvall / Mjelva / Baillie

Here's our 3 instrument arrangement of the Bach Prelude from the 6th Cello Suite, played with Scandinavian folk instruments: Hardanger Fiddle played by Olav Mjelva (Norway), Nyckelharpa played by Erik Rydvall (Sweden) and Violin played by Max Baillie (UK).

Are those baroque period developed instruments?

Yeah you could say that. The Hardingfela is a Norwegian type of fiddle with resonance strings, the nyckelharpa (key fiddle) dates back to the medieval times, but this version is surely a later model, like the baroque period. I actually play the type of instrument that pre-dates the fiddle. Stråkharpa. Probably one of the oldest types of bowed instruments. ^^

Hey try imslp.org. There might be an arrangement in treble clef, otherwise you'll find it in alto clef or bass clef. It's the Prelude from the 6th Bach Suite, the first movement. Good luck!
