Time to slow down! What a wonderful scenery and so nice to hear the so often rushed-through Prelude at a normal tempo! The Harp sounds fantastic especially these low bass notes!

And an accessible piece to play oneself without needing to be a very advanced player! Lovely!

Josh makes it look easy. It's not easy. I think it probably took some prior working out to get the lever changes sensible, since the middle half is a bit of a dance on the pedal harp!

I needed to take a breath! Mother Nature, Bach, and Josh's hands to make the music ring true. Perfect. Thanks so much for all the beauty.

Simply wonderful. And utterly poetic. It is an impressive experience to listen to Bach's compositions played with a harp, which I feel as being the most heavenly instrument that exists. No wonder that it is often associated to angels and angelic music. Applause! 🤗

LOVE this! Thank you for all you do for your fellow harpists/harpers, Josh. The free education here is indispensable. I bought the Camac Excalibur (in red) because I loved the sound of it (especially the bass wires) on your channel. I rather call my harp my HEARP, it has been such a major part of the healing of my HEART following heart failure early this year due to a virus (NOT Covid-19) attacking it. I watch my blood pressure lower in real time as I listen to recordings or play. Hearp absolutely heals! :)

Slightly different. I chose to learn the harp after healing from chemo. It ticked all the boxes. Learning something new and challenging helps with chemo brain. The vibration against one’s body is healing as is the musical sounds that the harp makes

Hi Josh... I can't make this piece sound good (on pedal harp). I can play all the notes in time, but... it just doesn't sound good. I will ask my harp teacher when I can, but I wonder if you have any tips on interpreting/executing this piece? I tried playing it on piano and it comes out much better... I think it's something to do with letting the high notes carry more.

Usually pianists tend to rush high speed through this lovely prelude ... and many others of J. S. Bach's works, eg. the Inventions. Your - also in a metaphorical sense - "slowed down" perfomance proves that every single tone has it's right to exist: Not a single note is used as "noise" in the background but rather contributes to the calm and peaceful mood. Thank you so much for calming us down ...

They are broken chords, they are meant to be together, that's what makes this prelude so beautiful. It's not a melody. This is so slow that the tension of the chord progression is lost.
