It's very difficult to tell exactly if this is the way Bach intended his pace... anyway, this might be the way Koopman feels it inside. Many GREAT organists are nowadays a little bit fast, I believe that virtuoso playing is really good for CDs and youtube videos so... nothing to worry about. The slower you play Bach, the more you appreciate him. But this is only my opnion and... I'll be looking for non-organ players offended and saying the same old "why don't you show us THE RIGHT WAY?". Easy. There is no right way. Everyone has his own feeling so, let's all enjoy Sebastian!

It seems to me that Koopman is always in a hurry.His playing is fine(for the most part) but his tempo usually reminds me of a frantic little boy looking here,there,and everywhere for his lost puppy.Bach music needs to breath not scurry about.
