I suppose comparisons will be drawn with the D minor concerto for 2 violins. The first movement definitely favours the oboe with the violin merely obligato. Then the slow movements really are close cousins with the same strict canon procedure I believe. The last movement really has the most interest. But come on Francois. You really cannot do that to your wife. This is not opera buffa!!!

Batiashvili is Good, but unexciting. Leleux on oboe is crisp, dynamic, subtle, emotional , and deeply moving . I like Batiashvili in other repertoire, but she has little feeling for the subtleties and emotions of Bach's music.

Pour moi scander la musique avec une gestuelle expressive est plutôt la manifestation d'une participation "corps et âme" à une très belle interprétation.
