Bachata basic strumming lesson 1

A humbucker is an electric guitar pickup wich works on magnetics. It reads the vibrations of the guitar strings as they are strummed. The humbucker is mounted onto the guitar by various methods. Then it is wired onto the guitars EQ preamp. By doing so you will more than likely unhook the guitar's acoustic pickup( piezo), as the sound of piezo pickups are not desirable for Bachata. Note, that you will also need an effects pedal that can give you chorus, reverb and compression for the right sound

This is only needed if u arent advanced. All i have is an electric guitar n acoustic. I can still make it sound like bachata on both. All tho when i first started it was difficult to make it sound like that lol.

@@Unkn0.nI would be able to notice if it was played on a solid body electric. It doesn’t sound right. Believe me, if you are looking for a specific sound the you go for specific equipment. I have a few electric guitars and while I can make them sound “like” bachata, I would prefer not to use them for it. For example, you would not like use a Fender Strat to play Jazz. You could do it but it wouldn’t sound quite right.

@@1DIAPASON78 i like the sound of my strat for jazz music lol! Neck pickup position with tone on zero... I use the same guitar for learning many styles, the fender stratocaster is the most versatile guitar available.

Like the fella above me said, it may be standard tuning, but he is also using a capo, that's the clip that goes on the neck along the length of an entire fret. They're very cheap and you can find them at any music store.

a good tutorial except it took me awhile to understand where you are on the neck. Finally you mention the double dots which is the 12th fret (octave above open strings) and then I still couldn't figure out where you had the capo. Finally decided it must be on the 2nd fret but am not sure. thanks

Para un sonido de bachata, tienes que usar una guitarra electro-acústica, usualmente un Yamaha APX, modificado con un Gibson 57 Classic. El humbucker tiene que ser un neck pickup porque el bridge pickup amplifica más sonido y daña el preamp (EQ). Para un sonido muy tradicional como William, tienes que utilizar un Ibanez PT4, un Ibanez PT3-DX o un Ibanez PT5 que son modelos descontinuados. Estos 3 pedales son los mejores para un sonido de bachata tradicional. También puedes utilizar un Boss Gt 10 o Gt 100, dos de los pedales más utilizados para bachata actualmente. ChiChi Requinto, el guitarrista de Romeo, usa el Boss Gt 100. Para configurar estos pedales, sólo el Chorus y Reverb se utiliza, pero el delay puede ser usado, depende de que canción es.

Jose Estevez Disculpa que te estoy respondiendo un poco tarde. Usa un neck pickup ya que tiene menos potencia. La classe de cuerdas que se usan son de guitarra electrica, ya que estas usando un humbucker se necesita que sean cuerdas de acero ya que el humbucker es magnetico y usa las vibraciones de las cuerdas . Y no cuerdas de bronze(cuerdas acusticas)

It’s a Gibson 57 classic pickup. Any guitar store should have them. It’s a humbucker style pickup.

+Rafael Batista appart of the humbucker, you have to use a very pronounce chorus for a multiefect pedal or just a super chorus of BOSS ch-1.

Are you playing the same song as me? You might not have the same effects on your amp or pedal. The other reason it might not sound like mine is that your guitar is out of tune. If it is not tuned you could be playing the right notes on the fretboard but the desired notes won’t ring out. Just tune your guitar..

Wrong title. That's not strumming, that's arpeggio picking. According to dictionary.com: strum means "to play on (a stringed musical instrument) by running the fingers across the strings", therefore, picking the strings one by one is not strumming.
