This film turns out to be another inferior work by Nolan samji, but akshay, on the other hand,has proved again that he can pull off even a mediocre script to hold the audiences to their seats enough...despite facing tough competition from the kashmir files and losing 700-800 screens,it opened to a very good amount, ie., 13 cr+, which shows that he is a skilled performer as well as a true entertainer!❤

But think about it, Kashmir files didn't much screens and star power, no promotion. If it makes tough competition with medium scale movies or actors like, Let's say Ayushmaan khuraana, raajkkumaar Rao Siddharth Malhotra, I can understand. But for a A list actor like Akshay Kumar, it looks bad for him and the Bachchan pandey cast and crew.

@@starlight_artx you are absolutely correct....this type of negative publicity mostly makes even badly rated films into huge success, films like padmaavat,kabir singh, URI,housefull 4 etc are the biggest examples...even bachchan pandey, despite negativity and boycott trends, would have done much much bigger business,had it been original script with better director,but farhad samji had ruined everything with his cheesy comedy....the collections of this film is only because of akshay's star power, that's it!

When I went to watch this movie, there were only like 15 people in the theatre. At that moment, I realised this movie is maybe a flop. But I really enjoyed every second of this movie. This movie is one of the best in terms of entertainment. I'm gonna watch it again when it releases on Amazon prime.

So, after seeing your review and reviews of many people, I can conclude this film is an average ' time pass ' film. Which could have been a crazy ride, badass film , given the cast and the story they had. All credits to Nolan Samji and Vijay Krishna Acharya to waste such a crazy and well written character like Bachchan Pandey which was performed so well by Akshay Kumar. I haven't seen anyone criticizing Akshay for his performance.

Hey V, I really follow ur reviews but probably it is very time when i have different opinion then urs. Truely speaking even i went to movie theater with zero expectations and only for entertainment because Akshay has something which can make any comedy scene really enjoyable. On top of it we had arsad and pankaj thripathi sir. But it was not even entertaining, probably because of different crowd also. As u said in some scenes u laughed because of crowd.

This movie I enjoyed and watch in online because in our country (Malaysia) theater doesn't have Bollywood movies so I watch online. Sometimes I understand and sometimes I don't understand.In this movie have funny, romantic and action. Akshay says the dialogue while Kriti recoding he brup and I laughed.
