Jason always tries to be diplomatic and I hate that Kaitlyn always twists his words and takes offense, when I don't think he ever tries to offend. She had definitely directed some criticisms toward Jason for things she interpreted, versus what he actually said. Jason is not wrong.

I think Kaitlyn likes to twist words and take offense. I think she may not even realize it about herself, but she likes to find the drama or the negative and hone in on it. I think she’s just really insecure. And I think Jason really is too but it manifests differently. He likes to avoid the hard stuff at all costs and she likes to find it even when it’s not there.

Of course we never know the whole story, but I listened to an episode of Off the Vine a while back where Jason co-hosted. Kaitlyn interrupted Jason a number of times and (seemed to me) belittled points that he made. Jason demurred on all of it. I couldn’t listen to the whole thing. I felt sorry for Jason. I went into the episode with no particular favorite of the two of them.

I think it had been over for her for a while. I applaud her for being honest and ending it. He still seems bitter. He was oblivious that there were problems but Savanah felt it when she interviewed Kaitlyn. Him being oblivious is a red flag. He seems like the type to avoid real issues with work. It appears work and money are the 1st priority for him. Bottom line they were not a match.

I am seeing more signs that Jason is starting to get over this relationship which I didn't see before. It's probably a good thing that he is not pining over her anymore and is able to see ways that the relationship with her is not completely what he wants out of relationship. I think this is a necessary step for him to go through since he was the one who was dumped. My guess is he will later on have a more apathetic take on things and just be fine with how it turned out..harboring no negative feelings at all towards her. He almost has to think some of the things he is now, or he might be sad and want to get back with her. Since it's so low-key tho, I think he will be fine and will move on with a bright future ahead of him and be able to find someone who suits him more. What a doll he is, and she's great, too, just didn't work out.

They say opposites attract, and I agree that personality differences can result in each person balancing out the other. On the other hand, when a couple are complete opposite in every way, it's a recipe for disaster. I think Jason and Kaitlyn are just too different in every way. Not just personality but also with their values and beliefs. It's clear that having a family is extremely important to Jason. I believe he would put that over his career. I don't think Kaitlyn would. Kaitlyn is an amazing person, but I think she would be a handful. I hope that Jason finds someone who truly adores and appreciates him and loves him more than anything. When he finds the right person, he will realize what was missing from his relationship with Kaitlyn, and it will make the scab on his heart heal completely. He'll be able to look back at the relationship with Kaitlyn and have warm fond memories with no regrets. I do think Kaitlyn is moving on too quickly. It would take me at least a couple of years to move on from a 4 year relationship with someone I was planning on spending the rest of my life with. It's a slap in the face when someone moves on so quickly. This doesn't mean I wouldn't go out on some dated and have a good time, I just wouldn't start a new relationship so soon.

I can argue that one of the things he appreciated most about his relationship with Kaitlyn is rhe support he got. I think after a breakup, you often reflect on things you dont want to live without and also things that were lacking in previous relationships.

For what it's worth (2 weeks later) No one on the podcast said (or alluded to) Kaitlyn bashing (bashing being the operative word) Jason. They (primarily Chris) brought up "perpetuating headlines". I could be off base and missing something, but I've been following this fairly closely and to my knowledge, this is the most up-front Jason has been about the break-up. He objectively stays very diplomatic while also giving the listener some insight into what happened from his POV (and acknowledges that it's his POV). The first time I heard either of them mention their breakup outside of the announcement was when she mentioned (or strongly alluded to) him not protecting her after he posted a "sad" video with the dogs. I saw the video and didn't think it had much to do with Kaitlyn other than him being sad about the break-up. At some point not longer after that she made the "ring throwing" music video, and she's posted numerous crying selfies and videos intermittently. To my knowledge he didn't respond to any of this stuff for several months (not passive aggressively via Instagram or otherwise) He went on CH podcast back in December and spoke about how upset he was and did seem genuine (we can never really know, but I've listened to a lot of BN on podcasts and his seemed as genuine as any of them and more genuine than most). I don't think he said anything about her other than he still had a lot of love for her and he was still in love with her at the time of the breakup. A few weeks later and he's back with CH (on the podcast featured in this video) where, as previously stated, he gave insight while acknowledging that there's two sides to every story. I know he's been on one more podcast (another being the one with blonde woman host who said she knew it wasn't going to work back in May because of how Kaitlyn behaved/something Kaityln said to her during that time). From what I've seen, unless I'm missing a whole lot.....Jason stayed mum much longer than she did (she's also mentioned their breakup on various podcasts and she mentioned it sooner than he did). I don't believe either has bashed the other. The closest thing to bashing could ***arguably*** be the ring toss video on Kaitlyn's part. (it's worth noting that during this whole thing, she's (seemingly) been pretty involved with another member of BN, which I can imagine would sting Jason. It would sting her or anyone else if there were pictures of he and someone close/ish to them (Kaitlyn and Jason's proximity to Zach is closer than other BN members) and one could argue that from her previous actions/responses she would've (probably) been much more vocal about the whole thing (relationship rumors/pictures/videos) than he has been. To my knowledge he's not been vocal about she and Zach at all (nor should he be). I'm a Kaitlyn fan (I liked the two of them together in a lot of ways) but objectively, people are giving her more grief about the break-up because she's been more publicly (and provably) vocal about it....and a lot of the time what she's been vocal about has been/is provably hypocritical.

Jason is a very level headed guy. She breaks the engagement off and then tries to say its mutual. This entire break- up was catered to her brand. If she is so honest and truthful why didn’t she tell the truth about her feelings about her engagement to Jason. No shade to Kaitlyn and it’s good that they parted ways.
