@@jyn88 Agreed. I think Zac is the safe pick for her, especially if she's thinking about not getting divorced again. Zac is older, seems to know what he wants, and that is safe - on paper. Brendan, I think makes the most sense for her in terms of compatibility and passion, but he seeming too uncertain, which for her, is a bit scary. I personally don't think she should get engaged yet. Take some time to get to know the guy. If she weren't so bent on the engagement, I would bet on Brendan.

Well he could have also felt hurt because she showed no emotion sending him home! I thought he looked teary and was holding back emotions. She had already made up her mind to send him home so what did she expect? He was respecting her decision.

Amen to this comment! She had technically dumped him at that point. And his face carried several physical cues that he was dealing. So they both bear responsibility for emotionally letting each other down in that moment.

@@katinarosentrater9587and @isabel lind. Tayshia sent Ben home because he couldn't express his feelings for her or he couldn't "open up." In alot of the clips of the season, there were multiple times where Ben would say he had feelings for her and he would say alot of good things about her, but there was never alot of that said when it was just the two of them. Like Tayshia felt that Ben liked her, but she wanted to hear him say it. She wanted him to be able to tell her everything he felt for him, but he couldn't do that. When she says open up she doesn't just mean about himself and his past, but also about his feelings. They're so far into the season and they're going to get engaged at the end of it. You'd at least think if Ben wants that he'd tell her exactly how he felt for her which he couldn't do. He couldn't tell her he loved her. He didn't even realize that that's what tayshia meant during their last conversation before he was sent home until after he got in the car. Yes not showing emotions is probably the defense mechanism he has, but that just gives her a reason why she didn't want to be with him because she's looking for an open and honest man. Someone who can express themselves and their feelings. Someone who is emotionally available and not confused. That's why she chose Zac. Zac was able to tell her that he loved her and tell her what he wanted with her exactly.

Dont get me wrong, I love Tayshia. But this whole “thats y you see me kind of shut off” argument... it very much applies to Ben too. He’s a guy, does not mean that he is not allowed to protect himself; esp when he just been broken up with. What do you expect. But more importantly, there is one thing ppl seem to be missing, and that is Ben’s military background. My husband is a military person, and I know what they do to these dudes there, may be the extreme trainings, but somehow they do become a shut-off towards emotions. They are just not good at expressing emotions like any civilian would. Military wives would relate to what I am saying. And tbh, yes, if you are a very vocal, over expressing, need to communicate it all kinds person, you will find yourself having to pull things out of these men. It can be taxing, yes. But let me assure you, it does not at all mean that deep inside they don’t feel anything.

The moment he shut off and said “I’ll be okay” her defenses went up. Tayshia has a very expressive face and you can pinpoint the moment if you watch closely that she emotionally shuts off. The good news is Ben is back on Monday to win Tayshia back and honestly I feel like he wins in the end.

The way he said it is what it is was painful for me too. You can tell he is heartbroken and has no way to let that out. I can see it on his face. That look that he had broke my heart because you can see the exact moment that he shut down. That he just put up those walls to protect himself. Tayshia doing the same because I really think she was falling for Ben hard. Not seeing that returned is hard but at the same time when you get dumped, the dumpee shouldn't really expect you to act any certain way. Especially when she shut down before she even spoke to him
