Hannah Ann was originally supposed to be the villain of the season...However, after champagne gate, she realized she couldn’t trust the producers. Every time there was drama, Hannah Ann would leave the room. That’s also why there were so many fashion and modeling dates - production knew she would do well at them since she is a model and wanted to put a target on her back so the other women would get jealous of her. Ultimately she didn’t give them much to work with though

I think in order to cast someone more mature considering the growth in younger viewers, they needed to pull a previous contestant with some following. If it was a random woman none of us knew, it's possible they'd lose a huge portion of their fans. This way, the conspiracies stay relevant and there's a heartier background for people to read into and get invested in beforehand. That's just my my humble opinion, though. yeah it doesn't matter if they were a part of the plot or not. it's in the cast's contracts to be at the Tell All so if you weren't there and you wanted to be then production stopped you and that's messed up when kelley made it far and was a popular fan favorite. (there are always a few every season who have work conflicts and just take their chances on getting sued for not attending but those are usually less significant cast who didn't go as far in the season)

Early on, Hannah Ann was going along with their cues - you should interrupt, you should toast with this champagne, discuss one contestant with someone else in the house, etc. This video is about whether or not she was pliable. That would look different on different seasons depending on how they wanted to “cast” her.

This honestly makes sense tho. Hannah Ann wouldn’t have brought the drama, so they chose Clare, someone that some people already know and from Juan Carlos season. Not just that but also because we see how strong she is in Juan Carlos season when she says, I would never want my kids to have a father like you. This strength pulls viewers in and makes Clare seem like the perfect fit. She’s confident, older than the previous bachelorettes, and can connect to the audience, but will still bring the drama.

I truly think the reason for Kelley not being at the Woman Tell All was just to fuck with the viewers. Sure the producers probably don't find her interesting and wouldn't want her there to make a case for bachelorette, but also because of all the rumors swarming that she was with Peter. The producers and Peter were adamant that no one would find out what happened with his season until the ATFR and also by bringing Kelley to that it makes us wonder why she's there/if the rumors were right.

I think a lot of these girls go in hoping to be the next bachelorette. Picking a bachelorette that's wasn't in the previous season of the bachelor, is a good way to stave that thought process off....I like it!

It was very odd how early they announced Clare as the bachelorette

I think the big reason they made Clare the next bachelorette is because a large portion of the target viewers are middle-aged women, and the bachelor is loosing them because they want to see contestants that better reflect their demographic.

BF, I think you’re right in your opinion of what happened with Kelley and Hannah Ann. I just felt the drama was way, way, way over the top this season. And the Bachelor franchise handled the naming of the new Bachelorette was just too shady. Not really interested in Clare being the Bachelorette, but I’ll give the season a chance. But there was so much contention during Peter’s season, plus Peter was so wish-washy, that I actually looked forward to the season ending!

I didn’t even think it was a conspiracy I thought it was obvious they didn’t want her. Everyone would’ve wanted her as bachelorette and they didn’t so they got ahead of it. Smh would like to see her as a future bachelorette rather than on paradise

I don’t understand those who say Hannah is too young for commitment. Being older doesn’t equate maturity or readiness for a serious relationship. That argument falls apart when you see this next season features an older cast
