When she said I love you, you could really feel how much he wanted to say it back to her and how much he didn't want to leave. Ultimately he did the right thing because Lindsey was still in the picture at that time. But you can really see him struggling to hold himself back from telling Catherine he loves her too.

Also was such a fan of his season that I bought his book. Sorry for anyone who hasn't read it, and for any spoiler alerts, but he was crazy in love for Catherine at this point, not Lindsay. I recall thinking it was very clear on final dates - Lindsay was a sweet girl, but he lit up with Catherine on his date, saved the cool dates for her (didn't they ride elephant?!) and they had so much fun plus could talk about anything and everything. I think he didn't want to let the producers down so went with the format if the show which was not the best decision. As a longtime batchelor/batchelorette fan, my view has always been once you know your heart, let the rejected party down asap and don't make them think they're getting engaged. That's what makes this show perverse for all parties. That's That's very cruel and I don't wish it on the people I don't like either (btw was team Catherine all the way but my heart ached for L) I was so happy for Sean but felt so bad that he had to reject someone on the day he got engaged to his love. Nice to see more recent contrastants being more brave to not go with what the producers of the show want. It's still the participants life and you should never forget that. Haven't watched the show since Michelle's season as haven't been interested with last contestants and I was no Clayton fan. Hopefully we'll get a fun BiP soon or I may leave this franchise behind forever and remember the good old days when I loved it. Hands down this is my absolutely fave couple.

I always felt when Catherine first told Sean she loved him that he wanted to say it back to her. I think he did the honourable thing not doing it cause Lindsay was still there(I mean we've seen how messy it gets when someone declares love for multiple women...think Ben). My heart still breaks for Catherine in this moment. She handles it all so well- she was an absolute class act! Love them two...a lovely family....one of the main batchelor couples I still follow...he also had great women on his season who I follow too.
