@@GFSwinger1693 I personally think that the RRHOF needs to change their name to the Music Museum or Music Hall because RAP is not Rock and Roll. Neither is Gospel. Several bands never even had a single hit. There are so many Punk bands like the SexPistols, etc that I wonder how they even got in. They need to make a RRHOF that is specifically for Rock and Roll. Then Rock fans will see the likes of Grand Funk Railroad, BTO, Foreigner, etc will get in and fans can really appreciate those groups that really belong.

Been a couple of years but if you don't mind I would like to mention my opinion if I might. I think He was introducing the song in a way that showed a good light is all. Taking nothing away from the originator. Funny thing is most originators in music rarely get the right credit. It's the nature of the beast don't you think? Anyway - I enjoyed your story as well. I used to manage Larry Welborn - he is the original bass player with Buddy Holly on "That'll be the day" as he was a friend of Buddys and played with him for years in Lubbock Tx. Search him on here - you will be in for a surprise. ALSO - Grew up with your music - Both Groups were just the best BTO was always an upbeat and TGW were tops in their music as well. In Closing - Don't waste life it's much too short.
