When Blair Thornton joined the band it gave them that extra punch that made them that much better in my opinion.... When these guys rocked it on stage it was like getting a sledgehammer to the face.... Just a great band....

Comin' to you across country Hoping boogie's still allowed You ask do we play heavy music Well our thunderheads are just another cloud, and we do Not Fragile, straight at you Then we vanish to the night Still in your ears but out of sight Not Fragile Don't think we feel hurt or wounded Or our egos are showing thru It's our world that's been disrupted And our strength reflects from you Well its true Not Fragile, over you Try us when you're getting down Feelin' high or just hangin' round Not Fragile The times we travel in our lives Are hard and fast and give us drive We may seem distant most of the time But many thoughts are still on our minds Not Fragile rip Robbie

I bought their "Not Fragile" album in 1974 or 1975. Wore out that record with "Not Fragile", "You Ain't seen Nothing Yet," "Rock is my Life," "Blue Moaning," and "Sledgehammer." BTO is one of the bands I had to listen to as an antidote to the disco 70s

I love BTO to pieces. The killer riffage and Fred's powerful growly voice turn this song into a bona-fide rock anthem. I've played it in bands I've been in, and it always goes over very well. I do feel I have to point out that playing it as fast as they're doing it here robs it of its plodding and unstoppable steamroller groove. Great tune.

Fred Turner's powerful sandpaper voice made BTO what they were and what they represented, from Not Fragile to Roll On Down The Highway. We chose this song to play in a talent show our senior year in high school back in 1978 and they threw us out of it during practice. So what did the hellions of "78" do as a response? Why, we skipped the next day of course. Isn't that what any respectable group of hellions would have done also?

Not Fragile and to a lesser extent, Four Wheel Drive, helped define no nonsense western Canadian Rock. The singles, from those albums drew mainstream fans; however, the album cuts help solidify the heavy, non-AM groove that many BTO fans grew to love. Singles tend to highlight a band's career. But to me, the tracks that embody the band's attitude and philosophy, help cement it. Rock and rol is filled with wonderful, yet sometimes fleeting songs. I suggest to dig deep each track the band lays down to get to the essence of what their music is all about.

in '75, I was mostly into "AM/top 40", so my older bro buys me "Not Fragile" for Christmas, I roll my eyes, but, man I spun that sucker a thousand times, I know every SECOND of that album...still love it (and "4-Wheel...")...
