These new 47s are just brilliant ive just bought the freightliner version weathered full dcc with working fans for £259 from Monks models in York good price, I've just started again in model railways after 40 yrs, Problem is once you hear these locos there's no going back to dc, Each to his own I suppose.

Hi, great review of a great Bachmann loco, I have the European livery with the blue roof which is amazing, I have Legomanbiffo sound onboarding and I bought a motorised roof fan from Bachmann spares, it is the best class 47 on the market in my opinion, Sam’s Trains didn’t have a dcc model when he tested his so he didn’t have access to adjust and enhance the model’s performance, dcc gets the best out of locomotives but it’s not for everyone, thanks for sharing.
