Ive just upgraded my 2007 bachmann 47 with a revised pcb from bachmann spares and a new 21 pin decoder with brake button which slows the loco down more realistically. Also the lights are brighter with a phasing effect when switching on & off. The whole job cost only around £55 . Many thanks Bachmann 😊

With its 2 HAP model (not yet made in all-blue) Bachmann produce the 4 EPB motorcoach. Disappointing that Bachmann has not chosen to produce the necessary trailer coach giving rise to the potential for a 4 EPB, 3H 'Hampshire' and 64' non-corridor second.

Hoping for a LBSCR Remembrance Class, LBSCR H4, LNWR Claughton, NER A2, NER M1, LNER V4, LSWR T3, Welsh-Highland Garret, Ffestiniog Single Fairlie, and some of the Talyllyn locomotives. I’d also like to se some LBSCR bogie coaches, and possibly some NER bogie coaches as well, IF the A2 and M1 come out. I’d also like to see a new Class 35 and 17, since the current models from Heljan are not that great. Similarly, I’d like to see Bachmann retool their Ivatt 2 tank, V3, B1 and Collett Goods.

I agree would be nice to even see some of Bachmann's older Steam engines get a new tooling as these are showing their age way more than the diesels were. Bachmann's Diesels were always good so I would have thought these could last a bit longer without new tooling's unlike their steam loco's which are getting pretty bad now some have been in the range for 20 plus years now. It makes these announcement video's really boring as they are just repeating themselves now. All the class's of loco's you mentioned I would love to see even the class 35 as we definitely need a good version of the model as Heljan's one is to basic for what it costs. Hopefully another brand might take on some of those loco's.

@@busterdragon1 yeah, I’m getting board of Bachmann’s announcements, and as someone interested mainly in steam locomotives today’s announcements were probably the most disappointing yet, at least in my opinion. There’s absolutely no reason we need more BR liveried class 20s and 45s, as Bachmann have already done those to death, and the Class 30/31 was probably their most pointless announcement yet, seeing as Hornby have made one that is perfectly good for years, and Accurascale announced a new one last year. Overall, I think Bachmann need to step back from the diesels for a bit, as if memory serves the last time they announced a new steam locomotive that was not a diesel was in 2018, nearly six years ago! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate diesels, but I think it is time for Bachmann to make a new steam loco, and it’s not as though steam locomotives don’t sell well, as if that was the case Rapido would probably be bankrupt…. There’s always the summer announcements in a few months, so fingers crossed they announced a new steam loco then.

@Bachmann I really hope that for a change, you will be producing at least 5x or more of the amount of TSO's compared to each run of BSK's etc because historically there have always been far too many BSK's available, compared to the increasingly hard to find TSO's and other standard corridor Mk1 types. REMEMBER: Most passenger trains only had 1 or 2 BSK's or similar at most, even in a 12 coach rake!!! Yet historically there always seem to be the same amount of TSO's etc available as the BSK's etc.... We don't want to have to run an 8 or 10 coach + rake with 4 or 5 BSK's to obtain that realistic length train, because it immediately becomes unrealistic!!! SO PLEASE GIVE US FAR MORE STANDARD TYPE MK1 COACHES, COMPARED TO THE BRAKE TYPE COACHES so we can create realistic rakes of Bachmann stock. Thank you...hopefully. 🙏🙏🙏

The funny part is if you put magnets under the track, then the kadees automatically uncouple, kinda a silly feature Bachmann introduced imo, not to mention how ugly those springs in the couplings look. Fingers crossed on the final model they will be blackened?

@@ormondsworld3947I see no reason why they wouldnt ... particularly the more commonly seen varieties, DB Schenker, DB minus Schenker, DB Cargo red, Grand Central, ex-Grand Central, DRS Blue, ex-DRS Blue - an easy option would be to do DB Cargo red - having already done Sir William McAlpine (90028), Multimodal (90019) or 90035 could be done easily. Having done the DB red example, then, a good number of examples could be done with relative ease - the Schenker ones being 90018, 90029, 90036, 90040 - the ex-Schenker ones being 90029, 90036 and 90040.

The auto uncoupler is a great addition to the UK scene. Not for me as I use a mix of Kadee and magnetic couplers. I'm sure in an earlier video you said details and pricing would be released in this one, still, they are on the website now. 50 pounds more than the Accurascale base model? So glad I pre-ordered one of theirs. I'd like a class 30 with the Mirlees sound chip but I'm too scared to look at the price for that one.

Hi Bachmann, I recently purchased a ' Queen Mary ' Class 37 form a retailer when the loco arrived and placed on the track the loco made a humming noise the lights worked but no movement. The loco was returned to the retailer for a refund. The second purchase was the EFE ' Booster' loco all looked fine until the loco was placed on the track their was a scraping noise notable on curves and the motor cut out a few times and was returned to the retailer. I refuse to repair expensive new locos which should be fit for purpose. Too much time is spent on how detailed can we make our models forgetting we like to run them you might has well sell static models not ready to run or what I now call ready to repair. Every time a new model is announced the price rises but the quality is not their yes you make nice models but they need to be built so we can run them .

Great to see an auto coupler, but restricted to the top of the range model at £360 is the preserve of the rich. How about as standard on DCC and affordable. What about as a kit to fit? I assume your pcbs are tracked the same for all these locos. Leaving the shellac coated copper wire solenoid coil gleaming like a star is odd, ruins all the bogie detailing etc. Did you miss a sleeve or a coat of Matt black paint to cover a fad finish it off and hide this star? I do like the backgrounded detail/ information you wove into your dialogue, makes it more interesting. Thanks and best regards Stephen.

Once again a rather grim range this quarter and it clearly seems once again steam modellers get absolutely nada and the collectors exclusive model for 00 gauge is just utterly lazy.. a Gulf TTA tanker... really? No denying that Bachmann have done a very good job with the 31 toolings and the livery selection is pretty decent but price wise I simply dont see how these will sell as quickly as the compeititors one considering their sound fitted version comes with a proper full fat speaker, a working motor fan & stayalives onboard and costs about £35 less than an SFX equivalent from Bachmann. I just dont see what the upshot is here... And yes whilst the auto coupler is a great feature, I don't get why this feature has to once again be limited to a deluxe model only... However, it's nice to see that Bachmann have finally listened and given us more BR Mk1s again both in BR Blue & Intercity Executive which is great, the WCRC ones are also a nice touch too and I shall definitely get a few of these at some point.

Having worked in television and media, I would like Bachmann, along with other manufacturers within the industry, to consider using professional voice presenters rather than their own staff. While the sound quality has improved compared with previous videos, the tone of the presenters, including the continual use of 'uplift', makes their presentation very amateurish and, at times, painful to listen to. When presenting factual information, the viewer must believe it is true. However, the presenters often use uplift, turning a statement into a question. Uplift is derived from Australians but doesn't work in the UK. The impact is that the listener thinks the presenter isn't telling the truth. Furthermore, listening to these presenters who use uplift, the viewer may skip valid points or switch off altogether, which can be frustrating. Bachmann, you have employed people to run your organisation. Even though they may demonstrate outstanding leadership, technical skills, or knowledge, they may not have the natural skills to communicate through online visual media, such as this channel. There is another gentleman who is the railway magazine's editor and also presents online media. Like the presenters in this video, he also uplifts; it is so painful to listen to. Use professional voice actors to make the listener believe in what is being said. It will move your brand into a new dimension where listeners will take what is being said more seriously.

Totally agree. I lived in Oz for 20 years and noted the uplift immediately on arrival. Then it started to creep in the UK language vernacular...tedious and trendy. Now MR is present in mainstream media with well known faces involved in the hobby, not to use professional presenters is keeping the hobby seen as an amateurish pastime.
