In this photography tutorial we explore how to take better portraits. This is a portrait photography tutorial for beginners, and will help you learn how to take beautiful natural light portraits with any camera equipment. We discuss composition, lighting and editing techniques to make the most out of your camera and lens.
We look at some RAW files that were shot with the 35mm lens at F1.4, and you can follow along with the editing at the end of the video.

Let me give you a couple of tips! I want you to take this as constructive criticism! You should never have your horizon line going right through your model's head! That is bad composition! Also the image with her leg cut off does not look good!

How do you get all of the adjustment sliders to display at the same time in the way you are using it? I'm talking about the panel on the right side of the PS window. Is this Lightroom?

Hello Together I would like to become a coach for photography beginners. For this, I would like to find out where the pain points are. I am looking for beginners who are interested in a short interview (15-20 min on Skype) and would like to talk about their initial difficulties. Don't worry I don't want to sell anything, I just want to find out how best to build my program and what topics to work on. I am very grateful for your help in advance. Kind regards Sven

sorry bro not as good as your other portrait vid. I feel like youre talking about things on a different subject to what we are seeing on the screen. For example youre talking about leaving space in a shot to allow for crop whilst fixing blemishes on her leg. Like you filled in some gaps in the photo when you shifted the horizon slightly and I wanted to know what you were doing here but you was speaking about something else. Spoke very fast as well. Tough watch at times.. youre other one nailed it.

Successful teachers should avoid distractions that sabotage their audience's attention. Successful photography instructors avoid using sexy, hot, scantily clad models. The model's thighs and partly visible hips were definitely a distraction.
