I love your tips. Here's one I learned NOT to do a long time ago. When posing & positioning your model(s), make sure NOTHING appears to be growing out of the top of their head or ears! Like, for instance a tree, wall column, door jamb, or skyscraper window divider, or other such item.

Im no pro but i guess putting a bullet point of your tips or as you are saying them on the video would be a great help. I think it also helps with the pacing of the viewer because as i was watching it i kinda had a hard time keeping up because im figuring out if we're still on the same subject or the next. Kinda lost and confusing. Im very new to photography and still learning the early stages and i think its what your target audience is. So yeah. Just my 2 cents. But anyway, good content and subbed! 😁👌🏻

0:51 I'm not sure what you mean by looking/facing into the frame, it seems in both the correct and incorrect at 0:51 the model is looking/facing into the frame. Wasn't sure what you meant with this one. Sometimes shots, where the subject is looking out of the frame, can feel more candid. Can you clarify what you mean at 0:51 - both shots the model is looking into the frame, I'm confused.
@elizabethzandstra51464 жыл бұрын
In te picture on the left, the girl is off centered to the right, looking to the right (looking "out" of the frame) while in the "correct" picture, she is off centered to the left and looking "into" the middle of the frame. The model should be looking toward the middle of the frame.

Confusing and I don't agree with all of them. For example, I love the arc of the tree, and I think its worth keeping in rather than leveling the photo.

I don't get the second tip. Maybe my english skills are failing me but what's the difference between the model's position "looking into the photo" and "looking out of the photo"? If I understand you correctly then the correct and false marks should be switched?

Hi ive got my first ever shoot with a pro model and wondered if i could get away with just using an 85 1.4 lens.I have a 35 1.4 too but only one body,so it will be awkward for the session maybe.Im not a pro photographer but have been given a great oppotunity that i really cant turn down.Also do you have any tips on how to calm nerves before a big shoot for someone doing this for the first time.
@808ASIANKID808 Жыл бұрын
novice feedback here, but while i love all the tips, i think it would be more helpful to have examples where the difference between the x and √ is more obvious. As a beginner, its really confusing for me to follow when in some of the first few shots, i really liked the x more or both equally. Or in some of the other ones, the composition differed in much more ways than the just tip that was being mentioned.

I disagree on filling the frame with your subject. It's fine if all you do is put it on instagram or social media, but if you print it, you need to leave room for cropping. What comes out of your camera is not an ideal 8x10, 11x14, etc., it usually relates more to a 4x6 or 5x7 but not exactly so if you're going to make a print leave yourself enough room to crop. Lots of these you tubers have never printed their photos so you can get some bum advice. Try it yourself and you'll see what I mean.
