With regards to 1:17:00 ish, I'm in the camp that wants both. I'm upset about the split because PoE1 will never be fixed the way they had promised in 4.0. But I also Like PoE2 so far and having fun with both. I just wish PoE1 would get the changes promised as well. Also I been waiting for the potential return of Baited Expectations!

Yeah rather than just describing PoE2 as Ruthless, it's felt more like Ruthless+PoE1 Beta to me. But I get most people don't have that context.

She's actually wrong, though. You can get up any side. of the mountain by going diagonal and jumping a lot.

You can get up any side by borderline exploiting the physics but 99% of players simply have to figure out the path, and it starts from the other side of the mountain.

I like POE 2 but it needs more time to cook. It feels too bare bones and the end game definitely feels under cooked by quite a bit. I enjoyed the process of making builds but then I get to end game and feel like it doesn't respect my time at all. Locking atlas progression behind boss fights that take 300 splinters to get one attempt at, feels absurd to me. Then when I go back to POE 1 to work on a new build it feels so much better to me. There is just so much more to do and way more player agency. The only way I can think of to describe it is that POE 2 feels like it is on rails that you can only deviate slightly from.

I'm hoping that just having like 4x the skill/support gems will help with some of that, but dear lord man I am already so sick of rare monster hide and seek. The end game is definitely bricked atm.

Hey I appreciate and understand that. I apologize for 'baiting' you into watching by putting it up as a "Path of Exile" video. While I indend on bringing on PoE-adjacent guests for the episodes, this podcast is by design supposed to be a standalone kinda thing where I can have the conversations with guests that we don't have time/space for on FATED. The deep dive into personal/professional background was fully intended. I will communicate that better in the future and probably upload/livestream to a different channel. It just made sense for the pilot to be here to onboard as many potentially interested listeners as possible, but I don't want to mislead people. We will have pie on an episode of FATED soon to go in depth about Path of Exile 2. Thanks for speaking your mind!
