Dawg I just realized, the back 4 blood theme is an edited version of the Danzig song pain in the world, SWEAR TO GOD LOOK UP THE SONG AND COMPARE, I mean they did have a misfits song why not Danzig?

I'm a huge Left 4 Dead player, I still play it - But I also like this game! It's of course not perfect and overall Left 4 Dead is still way better... but it's quite fun! A cool twist on Left 4 dead. And I play them both now.

Agreed. I really enjoy it, myself. I recall talking to a GameStop employee about it & wondering why they just couldn't get into it. I wish it could be more attractive in a way, I just dunno how that would happen. 😅 Still, it really is a fun game when you get a decent amount of cards & can make builds that fit your playstyle. Being the medic of the team can actually be fun & make you feel like you're really contributing, if not the reason why the team is getting as far as they are.

You literally gave yourself the explanation. The developers promised a Left 4 Dead 3 - esque instalment. Instead we got a arcadey mess that was geared towards melee gameplay, and is just arcadey with its gore and graphics as opposed to Left 4 Dead 2’s more refined mechanics.

@@Blackaddder I agree with most of what you said here, but I'm not quite sure about it being exclusive to playstyles that are based off of melee in particular. Sure, it works, but it isn't the meta, & almost anything can have the same effect if you play the game enough & build a proper deck using the cards you receive. Other than that, I think it all just boils down to how it comes off to someone. Reviews are very mixed given how used/numb we are to L4D, in comparison to B4B. If the bar of that standard isn't raised, so to speak, & if it doesn't *feel* like what we know & love, it's almost guaranteed to make people shy away. I get it.

@@Blackaddder You could say the Left 4 Dead 3-esque that was promised is what we got. Marketing uses ambiguous terms that can be technically satisfied. In many ways it was what was released. 4 player zombie apocalypse traveling from safe room to safe room fighting zombies and mutations. Just described both B4B and L4D in one sentence, only B4B added layers of difficulty to make the levels much more replayable. L4D has hardly any mechanics (especially with the Source engine's aboslutely terrible hitboxes) that are very refined. The artwork and detail in L4D is definitely refined if that's what you meant to say.
