here’s a random theory. So we know how Jiraiya was always out of the village gathering information about the akatsuki. He always mentioned that he would get his info from a trusted source. They never specified who or where he got the info from but what if Itachi was the one that gave it to him. As we know, Itachi loved the village and said he was going to continue to look out for it so it would kinda make sense. Plus when he saw Jiraiya And naruto walking together, he told kisame that they shouldn’t fight. idk this is just my take on it. Plus who else would have known where Pains hideout was? Probably someone from the Akatsuki like for example…ITACHI. In short: I believe Itachi was the one that gave Jiraiya all the information about the Akatsuki.

Nighteye’s death impacted me because of how it impacted the characters. It completely changed the landscape of the anime. Not only did it let us know that nights can and will die in this anime it’s the first time Midoriya and the others are presented with death in their profession. They now know that these battles and this title of hero is gonna come with some losses along the way, I think that’s what made it impactful.

That much is very true however Meruem was also a newborn. Because he was a newborn, Meruem did not know just how much humanity has gone through. Wars, famines, genocides for thousands of years. Meruem saw himself as above all other beings but humanity has always been the far greater villain. The existence of weapons such as the rose bomb is more than enough proof for that. Netero tried to do things the normal way but when that didn’t work he chose to use one of many inventions born out of humanity’s malice.

Although his power was matched by Gon before the bomb, Gon would lose to him because fighting Netero and playing Komugi elevated Meruem’s ability to think and strategize. After the bomb, Gon would not touch Meruem because of his much increased power after consuming most of Pouf and Youpi.

@@dqueezy923 Gon didnt even use his full power in his adult form to kill pitou he wasnt even really trying which is the only reason she was able to cut off his arm. Some of the members of the phantom troupe are stronger than netero was such as chrollo who was fighting zeno who is equal to netero and Silva who is stronger. Netero was strong but far past his prime as he himself said. Also with nen it's not about the amount of nen but how it's used that's a key point reiterated throughout the show.

Man Gurren Lagann and One Piece got it for me with Kamina and Ace. I don't know why Ace makes me tear up like that, just the impact it has on such a happy character when they came such a long way to get there. One Piece also always felt like one of those animes where everything worked out before that. Kamina hit so different because it was so unexpected, didn't feel like a character that could be killed off at all. Basically killed the main character.
