Best baking tip I ever received was to butter/grease your Bundt pan and then dust it with sugar (rather than flour) to ensure an easy release. When you use flour it creates almost a glue situation and your cake will stick. I've never worried about any Bundt cake since learning this trick :-)
@k.j.krimson25902 жыл бұрын
@ThePennsylvaniaCelt do you use granulated sugar or powdered sugar ? The sugar doesn't caramelize or burn?
@angelarae12782 жыл бұрын
Y'all..."cake goop" is amazing! One part shortening or margarine, one part neutral cooking oil, one part flour. Mix it well and store it at room temperature. Slather it liberally in your cake pans. The baked goods release perfectly, and that combo doesn't leave a greasy or floury "crust"!

I collected midcentury/vintage goblets for my wedding last October! We collected every color/style. Every seat at the reception had a different glass. It was by far my favorite part of our decor and was a hit with our guests. We allowed our guests to take them home as their favor if they wanted. My husband and I had such a fun time collecting them over the year of planning. Whenever we go thrifting I still catch myself looking for them!

That cute little whale reminds me of the frogs my grandma made in her ceramics class (she taught in her basement). The froggies had their mouths open like that and they were intended to be on the kitchen sink for your brillo pad, pan scrapper or scrubbing sponge. I still have one. So that would be another great use for the whale and maybe even what he was intended for.
