Laura that large wooden “bin” is a large mortar. We use like that size in the Philippines or some country. We used that by standing while holding the pestle and chop squashed the food. It is so nice that one you found so cool that it has even a cover.

The ash trays that look like a chain are for all of the "chain smokers" out there! My favorite item was the large pottery bowl with the fishes on it. Always a treat to watch your channel.

❌. The wooden bowl (that needs some love) is a really nice piece of spalted wood. It comes from a large gnarly growth on the side of a tree. The marbled pattern in the wood is actually caused by a virus. However, spalted wood is highly prized, and the bowl is well worth any effort you might put into it. Thanks for the video!

Fantastic finds Laura. My husband indulges me in Charity shops and antique stores and goes ahead to see if he can find things first. I am teaching him slowly. I am in Hampshire England and I have found some great finds. I only have one Botossi dish my mother in law gave me, I treasure it. Love the salt and pepper shakers and the fish dish. Keep the vlogs coming love them.

I use a spinning organizer for my crafting tools...paint brushes, compass, paint pens, small tools. It's easy to move around and I stay organized. Just sayin'. Happy shopping. Your lady lamp turned out great! Always so impressed with your final reveal!

Perfect makeover on the ladies lamp!!! On the wood piece where you're thinking of mounting something on it....the sky is the limit! Let your imagination run with it! Plus, as you want, you change whatever you choose to display on it. OR you could do a light sanding on the piece to try to get rid of the faded portion & let it stand alone as a beautiful piece of wood. I really enjoy your videos so very much! I am kind of new to thrifting, but I truly enjoy it! What a rush when you find those special pieces! My husband is starting to catch on to my thrifting & is joining me sometimes on my adventures. Our local Goodwill is very hit or miss, but I keep showing up hoping. My perseverance pays off from time to time. Oh how I'd LOVE to go on a trip with you & Jesse & all your fellow thrift loving cohorts!

The wood trash can you found, I don’t believe is trash can. I’m pretty sure it’s for onion 🧅 and potato 🥔 storage. They need to be kept in a cool dry place. Wood onion and potato “boxes” were popular in the 70s.

Love the Mothman Prophecies. I lived in the area of the Silver Bridge collapse when I was a child. There is even a Mothman festival every year there. And the town has a great metal sculpture of the Mothman!

Laura, I believe the stand with holes is a wine bottle holder. Put bottle nose through hole upside down. This keeps cork moist which is correct way to store wine. Your videos are the best. Your Palm Beach devotee

Love that you found bitosi - also agree with Will love the wood trash can. I was amazed today - found a set of 2 everyday double handle cast iron Le creuset pans - the set was only $19,99. I think GW priced them based on the cast iron and missed that they were Le Creuset.

Regarding the chain dishes (or ashtrays)....depending on size one could possibly use them to hold nuts, mints, olives, etc. It'd look super cool on a table all attached with small food items in each dish. A super cool find!
