THIS CHANNEL:
_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Oh my gosh! I love that you went back with the 4K. What a remarkable difference in both picture and sound!! These families must be buried on top of each other. I worked at the Bohemian Home for the aged in Chicago for about 3 years from 76-79 (actually lived there too in the old school building behind the nursing home). My favorite thing was taking time to sit down with some of the residents and listening to their stories. I just LOVED that! When I worked at Columbia County Health Care Center in Wyocena Wisconsin, one lady used to have an Amish neighbor come and visit her with their horse and buggy. I worked at Wisconsin Dells Health and rehab too. Those nursing home jobs were my favorite jobs. Just loved every second of it because of the older folks and all of their stories. High 5 to Pedro and Shawn 🖐loved those last few encore stones!! 🥰

The music in the beginning is so beautiful that it made my heart happy. Lil Jimmy flying in like an angel surveying all the graves is so beautiful. I loved how Lil Jimmy swooped past Mother Mary and Baby Jesus. Gorgeous statue! When I saw you re-did the walk through of this beautiful cemetery and all the amazing busts and statues and sculptures with such crisp picture and sound, I had a couple tears roll out of my eyes. You are such a nice guy and you have such an appreciation for beauty, history, architecture, design, and art. Thank you for doing this vivid, crisp footage since the signal was weak the other day. Ron in 2011 I had gone to find my some of my relatives who happen to be from the Jamaica Plains, Brookline and Roxbury area of Boston. about 3 minutes away is another beautiful cemetery called Forrest Hills! When I went to find them I came across St. Michaels too, which absolutely was unbelievable! Long story short we thought we would only find about 6 relatives and were blown away we actually found over 42 of our relatives from 1880 to 1965..... the area even has a Japanese cemetery not far where you were..... thank you for sharing this with us, so very beautiful!!😄🙏❤

Rest in peace everyone. From what I was told back in the day there was no cement vaults, & the caskets where made of wood for the most part. When the cemeterys became over crowded from lack of space or sad to say greed on the part of some cemetery owners. This is what happens. Unfortunately with so many diseases back in the day, people where dying faster than there was space to lay them to rest. Stay safe Sir & everyone. This is heartbreaking to see.🌹😔.

I have family buried here & I remember going through this cemetery as a little kid being fascinated by the monuments. I remember the monument with the boys falling from the boat. Ppl spent a lot of money for these stones and plots. The one my family has would be around $200k which few could afford nor would the cemetery permit to be erected. The most elaborate ones are from the 1920's. Thanks for visiting & sharing.

You inspire me good sir. My wife and I took a weekend trip to see some friends in Winston MO. Same place Jesse James and his gang robbed a train and then the towns station. The original tunnel they waited for the train in is still out in the woods. Really cool to see. The stones the bridge tunnel is made of seen it all. I stood in the spot I imagined they waited. Cool feeling came over me. Anyway, I digress, I woke up early one morning, got coffee at the towns one gas station and went to a small cemetery close by and just walked around. The cemetery itself is actually across the main highway from where you’d enter the woods to go to the tunnel. Maybe a tad further down the road but close. The early morning air was crisp and just awesome. The very old cedar trees is neat to see. I found myself walking along fixin American flags. The ones with broke sticks I found some electrical tape in my truck and taped sharpened cedar sticks to them and placed them back with their owners. It was peaceful and actually pretty fun. After a couple of hours my wife called wondering where I and her coffee was and on the way back I thought about you doing that in some of your videos I’ve seen. Subconscious inspiration? Regardless, I really enjoyed it. I’ve always enjoyed walking cemeteries. Especially early mornings. Thanks for your dedication and content.

What a beautiful cemetery! Love the sculptures & monuments. By the way Ron I've read all your blogs about your adventures in the bush, also the Avenger crash. You are a very fascinating man Ron, you will not be forgotten. Hundred years from now there will be someone visiting your monument and telling your story and it's going to be a long and very interesting story. Keep up the good work!

Great cemetery! The stones all look brand new to me, but I'm used to older dirtier ones in my videos

The busts were carved by Italian craftsmen who emigrated to work in the quarries in Barre, Vermont. In 1950's the Archdiocese stopped allowing these types of markers. They wanted to curb what they considered decorative excesses. 😔
