Love all of that country, never forget the time i drove my F250 across the bridge over the single lane bridge over the Arkansas River, now that was quite a view when you looked down as you crossed that old bridge.

For a short time, I lived in Poncha Springs, I would go to Canon City to stock up on groceries. One day, I saw 6 bighorn sheep laying in the sun on the railroad tracks on the right! They were beautiful! Stay safe out there! Love the videos 👍

Welcome back. Glad to hear you had moved and time with your granddaughter. Your arthritis has likely flaired up from your move coupled with dampness and spring that. From experience, I have that same problem. Rain is also something I can forecast thanks to arthritis. It's sad you have such an ordeal just trying to pick up a meal. Still am awestruck by the view's and scenery. Love the clouds. It's awesome hoe you drive through so many weather changes. Really enjoy your video's and the commentary. Later M.M.M.

Hey Mike, its good to ride again. Came over to Denver yesterday, Thursday and noticed there was a full closure of I-70 westbound on Vail Pass for about hours for a vehicle cleanup. As i went by some boom truck was working but i couldn't tell what they were picking up. Got a good view of alll the trucks lined up going up the hill on the east side but no Quality trucks until i was going up the tunnel hill. Cool runnings. SEE YA

Thanks for the ride! I lived in Penrose for 3½ years (2017-2020) having to return to SW Kansas due to altitude (lung problems). I miss my "mountain fixes" taking many short drives while there. The water is really low in the Arkansas River but snow melt will fill it soon for white water rafting. When we went through Cotopaxi, we passed the church my late brother ministered at for 18 years & I had tears. My sister-in-love lives in Cańon City plus other family/friends in several towns close by. Stay safe & God Bless.

I have seen deer, turkey, antelope, bear and elk on that hi-way where you are, north of 50.....and wrecks. The area there, 50 along the river has some interesting old west history. And, yes, good chance of ice there ,that night. Thanks 🙈

I was an apprentice plumber and certified oil burner tech. Also drove a 3500 gal cabover Mack truck. Soldering copper plumbing was one of the things I did. Went to Florida one time when my mother was a snowbird. Had to replace the electric water heater and the plumbing was plastic. Plumbing with plastic was great.

I have driven this route MANY times. The passing lanes on 50 btwn Canon City and Salida have really improved the drive. The deer usually wait by the deer crossing signs. I have taken out several through the years so I am especially cautious when I see those signs! Keep the greasy side down!

Dear Mike, you talking about "getting something to eat"and I remember that I always drove on wensdays with my father is his truck (Beford 1954). And special in the summer he ask's me to get his bread out the dasboard. Grey bread with margerine and cheese. He ask me then if I like a bite. Who Ha LOL John from Holland.

Really like your videos . From a young age i was interested in big trucks as my brother in law was truck driver. And the scenery you show particularly the canyons in Colorado are beautiful. So i came upon ATS (American Truck Simulator) and now each evening i am trucking away in Kenworth's, Peterbilt or Mack trucks. And guess what: they just released the state of Colorado as a map. So i can drive the routes you're showing. Keep trucking.

We first drove from CA. To Seattle Washington under the snowstorm of 2019! We moved this 27 of February to Colorado Springs between storms the road and passes slow, slippery. We were the only one in the road and the full moon was awesome but scary silent the mountain dressed in snow. Impressive and beautiful. Got safe by the hand of God. Thank you 🙏

Yes a trucker headed east went into the river last week monday at 257marker.. 50 was closed most of the day!!!! Not sure what happened. Since there is a turnout there , maybe somebody pulled out in frt of him. Headed east, thats a blind corner!!!!! I had to take a cut back woods over to cotopaxi 245 marker so i could get to work!!!! Trucker was spilling gas into the river . road was clear!!!! . for some reason truckers flip over at texas creek junction. Been 3 in 5yrs right next to little store!!!!!! 💞💞💞💞🙀🙀🙀🙀

Southern part of Ft Carson is Live fire for M1 tanks, m2 bradleys and apache helicopters amongst other things. Spent 8 years there. Halfway between 115 and canon city is a road that goes north to Cripple Creek It is called Phantom canyon. they tor up the narrow gage and made a road.
