I have to say it, Jerry makes a much better dry dam! His are a work of art! Lol 😂
@ronbuckner817918 күн бұрын
There’s really no comparison. DP has even said that Jerry’s dozer work is extremely “polished”.
@PBandJDIY18 күн бұрын
@ronbuckner8179 I tell my boys all the time, look for the oldest guy doing the work usually done by young guys on any job! They are the best source of knowledge and tell the best stories about why they do it the way they do! You remember those learning stories way more than any book or instructor! And get the old guy work ethic!!!! I have learned so much from "old guys", I'm 52, so I'm getting into that pre-old guy stage! Lol 😆 I can do just about anything from many, many jobs with old guys! I teach my boys anything they want to know. I even volunteer at the high school to mentor kids in the Drag Racing Club, how to tune and make small adjustments to get the most out of our old motors. No fuel injection, straight-up old school all the way! It's a lot of fun!

For over 25 years, I have been trying to get my wife interested in some of the stuff that I enjoy. I have failed miserably in that mission. And then I find your channel, and suddenly she’s interested. She really likes the relationship you have with MBTS and Mr millennial (nya millennial) and the content you put out. Well done sir.

With all your fancy manufacturing perhaps you could make a pin driver like Clint’s. It saves a hand from being hit if hammer misses.
@user-mk7qq8rz1m18 күн бұрын
That is a great idea I always wondered if that was something Clint made up over necessity Or it was an actually a tool That was manufactured
@derKarl_stp18 күн бұрын
might be a nice idea to make some sliding hammer mount... so you can screw a sliding hammer in and pull it out that way 🤔 I mean on big tracked cranes they use "hydraulic pullers" to pull out pins... basically a hydraulic powered non-hammering sliding-hammer
@ccswede18 күн бұрын
@@user-mk7qq8rz1m I am sure Clint Made the device. If you see it the device is very simple. Tucker could weld it up in minutes. You can see the device on several of Clint’s recent post.

@PBandJDIY18 күн бұрын
That's the difference between a boss and a leader! The best boss can tell you what to do and make you feel like you want to do it. The best leaders will jump in and show you what they want you to do and explain why. Good leaders are hard to find! I've had 3 in 35+ years!
@billvandorn533218 күн бұрын
Many decades ago I had one of the best bosses ever but was too young and didn't know just how good it was. He made us take an hour break and Supply two large coolers, one filled with assorted beverages and the other with assorted cold cuts condiments and breads for sandwiches a fast-moving storm was on the horizon we were installing mechanical water pipe when the torrential downpour ensued. Patsy wasn't getting it as the water continue to rise. The boss man jumped into the hole wearing his suit and did it himself. Having another estimate an appointment to keep he took off his suit right on the side of the road and switched it out for a replacement

Suggestions: 1) modify a slide hammer to drive the pins. Much safer than the misc rod and short sledge. 2) get his hands out from between the bucket hook and the plow. He can eyeball that until it’s in the right position then your hands come off the controls until he has placed the chain and cleared the pinch points. 50 years in the field and I still got all 10 of my digits and have never pinched anyone else. Like you guys touch to see ya take unnecessary risks. Keep up the great content. You will inspire me to start my own channel in my retirement!
