Love you are back in Tenerife Fred . Fred I no a car hire company out there and they are fantastic English fella from Liverpool runs a hire company called sanasty car hire Tenerife in los Cristianos. He is fantastic you don’t que at the airport he drops it at the car park outside the terminal keys left above the wheel . No deposit or credit card needed or trying to sell you insurance. You pay when you arrive by popping to the office or over the phone. He has a you tube channel called the knight Stryder Tenerife. You will not be disappointed he also has a bar called buddies

Oh how I love the Canary Islands. The scenery and the roads are simply off the charts and as a bonus the weather is as close to perfect as it gets. Watching your vlog, I’m going to start my planning for a 2025 trip, most likely back to Gran Canaria with a a motorcycle booking for the duration. Keep up the great work Freddie & Monika.

I used to rent an apartment in Santo Cruz for £25 a week back in the 80's and rent a Renault 4 from Rent a Wreck , pre damaged 😁 . Much busier and developed nowadays . Have a marvellous holiday .

Freddie: please take detailed photos of the car now and at your drop off. I returned a car to Sixt when attendants were too busy here in the USA, they told me to leave it where it was and did no inspection. I stupidly didn’t take photos and sure enough, Sixt didn’t get around to checking the car back in until the next day and charged me for an “extra” day and claimed there was $1,200 USD damage. I received a letter from their lawyers, but I was able to point out all of their inconsistencies (wrong drop off date, wrong mileage, no photos of the damage, estimate was done days after, etc.) and they dropped it shortly thereafter. Be careful.

My son and myself are coming to tenerife 24th Nov and are renting two voge 500 ds bikes for 4 days, but we're not in the south, but Puerto da la Cruz on the north East, and we are getting the bikes from Moto Tour Tenerife 😊

Check your travel insurance covers you , bikes above 125cc on alot of travel insurance are not covered god forbid you have an accident on one, unless it's your own bike you used to get you into Europe!! Be safe on your journey 😎🏍️😁

So, an apartment under the flight path, hmmmm earplugs at the ready folks. "Do You Spain" are a good on line company for hire cars- Gold Car are their preferred rental company. You DO still get the hard sell on insurance from Gold Car, BUT, with an annual excess insurance costing around £60, which covers glass, tyres exhaust etc etc you are well covered. We hired in Mallorca recently-£80 for ten days.

Hi Freddie I hired a car in Malaga and on return noticed the tiny 6:42 stone chip in the windscreen, they charged me £760. I believe because I had separate insurance they stitched me up with the car and reckon they will do the same again to somebody who has there own cover.,

That's funny, I had the exact same experience when renting a car in Tenerife a few years ago. The guy wanted to sell me extra insurance and he was extremely pushy, but I managed to turn his extra extremely expensive insurance down. He said I was crazy lol, but I also got a car completely covered in scratches and dents as well. So took some pics and went back to show how bad the car was. And he suddenly was lost for words. Made me laugh. Tenerife is a beautiful Island though, would love to go back!

If you go onto AirBnB and type Golf Del Sur as the location, that’s where we’re staying and the property prices are very good (but you do need a car). I recommend it as a location because the properties are modern and very liveable👌🏻

NEVER buy extra insurance, it's just bullshit. Pay by card. If you pay for your rental car with Fee-Free Visa, you automatically get free deductible insurance with cover of up to 2000 euro. The card provides free travel insurance and cancellation insurance for the family (household) or 3 other fellow travelers, as long as a minimum of 50% of the travel costs were paid with the card. Take pictures of the car. They work on percentages.
