There is honestly such a sense of calm and peace in the air already. I didn’t realise it before until now. I also loved seeing Adam and uncle Adam playing together plus how Amber was getting in on the action too. I must say, I love the little ways in which you care for adams unique needs like getting him a bonnet. The cafe you show goes way below the surface . I remember you mentioned a few videos back, even just wanting him to change schools so that he could be in a school that was more diverse. I never realised how important this was, but as a black British person it has helped me in my personal life too. Baring in mind these little things ❤

The truth is that, it's always hard to adjust to a different culture. I am from Africa, but I have to say that the longest I can stay there is 2 weeks, after that, I begin to miss everything back home where i was raised. It's more comfortable and easy to access what you want. You are welcome back to comfort. I can feel your pain. Your son has said it all. In England you get what you want. Lol
@olydnk52704 ай бұрын
True on some level....but there are those who are able to enjoy the same comforts wherever they are. Emilie is amazing ..big up for her . If she could, she would save the whole planet. The kind of person capable of leaving in comfort but wants to share everything that she has. And so, she shares and to do so, she compromises her comfort. I am from Uganda, and I know that you can get everything that you want too.... .if you choose to be a bit selfish and ignore the needs around you. I am beginning to see Emilie in a completely different light...she can have all she wants in the UK...but she chooses to share her life

It's so lovely to see your family, Emilie and Adam. You know your home, when the second you arrive, it's as though nothing has changed - you just fit back in. Let the guilt go, Emilie. Hi Emily - yes I was like you once a life in England and a life in Barbados. I eventually moved back to England. Left the Partner in Barbados and return to London - there are more home comforts in the UK. More opportunities. Uganda seems too stressful and not good for Adam. He has more opportunities here to further his education. Support the others down there. I feel Josh was wrong to bring the other kids and lay that burden on your generosity. Even if he came here that would be another stress. Finding a job and a place to stay. Would all of them stay with your Parents? is there room? the expense of an extra 4 people. Have you thought about this. The UK is not that easy anymore. I know its none of my business but one has to be realistic. You seem to have a good heart but please don't let your heart rule your head.
@TheLarters4 ай бұрын
I am not sure why everyone always presumes Josh was the one to bring the children. I offered it myself... they are not a burden. We will be going back to Uganda in a couple of weeks and returning once we are able to return as a whole family.
@missjuds4 ай бұрын
You must not have learned much in Barbados. Folks there who get permanent visas to live abroad, have to leave their kids, until they can work and show they can provide for underage kids; they have until the kids reach 16 years old. Emilie is already stressed, sometimes less said is good, no need to hammer YOUR thoughts in.. Now that those 3 beautiful children are with them, they can't be made into beef patties.

I'm always sad leaving Uganda but I now come back to America yearly. I HAVE to. Just knowing I will be 9 months in Uganda and 3 in New York makes the 9 not so difficult. But around the 7th month I'm already losing my cool. lol I'm now just a few days until I go back to my husband which is the best part of it all. But otherwise I feel like I'm going back for another tour of duty in a most difficult war. Especially no power no water, no internet. Sigh. It's exhausting. Yet exhilarating.
