Enjoy your trip back to the UK, can’t wait for the UK vlogs. Emily, just wondering do you have a step-by-step plan of what needs to be done to complete the children’s adoptions? Ticking off steps one at a time can make it easier to see your progress and really get where you need to be with them. I know in Uganda every step is more difficult but it could help the whole family’s morale to know you’re getting there. Maybe you could put this plan together whilst you’re back in the UK and have some breathing space? All the best.

Thanks Janie! We do have a vague plan, one of those things where each thing relies on another though. Also being Uganda, it's one of those things where if we had lots of money to throw at it... things would move a lot faster! We'll get there though, already feeling more positive again about it all 🤞 We are also trying to slowly gather all evidence we may need for proving our relationship etc ahead of a future visa application... no harm getting things together now!

@@Every1ShouldSparkle we paid for a return flight when we first flew out. We looked into cancelling the return but they give you a small percentage back of what it’s worth. We’d essentially have lost a lot of money so definitely worth the trip to see family etc!

It does seem like the adoptions have stalled entirely, from the vantage point of a viewer who surely only sees a small part of your life. If this is your family’s first priority maybe making that plan and allocating all of your resources toward it is something to consider. It does seem a good bit of energy and resources are used elsewhere.

When I fly from Uganda back to America i pack a suitcase inside another suitcase with a few items and another one with a few things, then a carry on and a purse(backback). I come back with 3 full to the max 25 inch suitcases. A full carry on and a packed backpack lol. I bring towels, sheets pans, silverware, curtains, rugs, clothes, any any other useful household items. You can't find quality anything in Uganda like what we are accustomed to. Not be snobbish, it's just the truth. It's landlocked country too so if we did find it, it would cost 3 x more there. Have a wonderful visit back home! I'm crossing paths with you. I'm headed back Aug 13th.

Emilie! You have all of us on the edge of our seats with these vlogs. I so was not expecting this at all!! Btw you have not missed the summer weather it wasn’t too hot this year, but only really started picking up towards the end of July. I can also foresee your mental health getting a lot better l, being in a much more familiar environment and also where there things are a bit more structured. I think the constant ups and downs you were going through was too much. After being back in the Uk, it seems like it would be hard to go back, besides missing Tallie, James etc. Moreover, with how these videos are going I would not be surprised if you pulled another rabbit out of the bag and told us that you and Adam were staying in the UK long term. Or that you decided to leave Josh.

I know, been a lot going on recently! How we hope things settle a bit... think we've had our fair share of drama for the time being! We'll definitely be going back to Uganda. Content is about 2 weeks behind real-time although will start to catch up. Already missing everyone a lot - and feel much better rested. So thankful we came as ended up with some health problems and in hospital and I'm just so fortunate I was in UK for it!
