I love them all. I think Helen Morgan’s singing has touched me more than almost any other. So tragic that she died at such a young age.

Agnes was in one of the best twilight zone episodes ever. An old woman in a small country house hears a noise in her attic and she thinks it’s nothing but it keeps up now there is the sound of footsteps soft but there. Finally she climbs up and well I won’t spoil it. She won an Emmy for it

I enjoyed this video very much. I noticed that a good portion of these women lived to be 90 years old. I was wondering why that woman born in the same year loved such long lives when it was probably tougher to live to such an age???

I believe it is related to what they felt they were accomplishing. That's my guess. Thanks for watching and leaving your comment. Be always welcome!

@@cinestesya I was telling my sister about watching this video and I was saying to her basically the question I posed to you folks. I said I don’t get it they used to burn coal for heat and all back then. She brought up a good point saying that that outside the air was probably a lot less polluted than it is today. There not very many cars on the roads and that not as much junk being released into the atmosphere back in those days. I said that I agreed with her. You’d think the air may have been worse because of the time, but she was right it must have been much better breathing air outside back then!! Thx Again for the Post!🙏🏻👼😎👼🙏🏻

The Invaders (The Twilight Zone): Watching Agnes Moorehead portray an old woman alone in a remote cabin. She suddenly has to defend herself against small intruders that come from a miniature flying saucer that has landed on her rooftop. Totally done without dialogue. She showed what a great actress she truly was. I was 13 when she passed away, but I still enjoy her work a half century later.

Catherine Hessling was NOT married to artist Pierre August Renoir but was married to his son actor/director Jean Renoir.

I apologize profusely for the error. In fact, she married his son Jean Renoir. She posed for some of his father's important works but married his son. You are right. Thanks for watching and for the correction. You are always very welcome.

@@cinestesya no probs l enjoyed your wee program as I am a big fan of 30's,40's& 50's movies. Aggie Motorhead was robbed of an oscar for her performance in The Magnificent Ambersons( and her key scene at the end of the film was cut a very sordid affair)In 1947 The Lost Moment she plays a 105 year old Italian poet another one of many great performances. Jean Arthur another fabulous actress she made 3 of my favourite films in a row, 2 from 1937 the brilliant Easy Living followed by the fantastic History Is Made at Night. Then 1938 You Can't Take it With You. She was a brilliant comic actress . Surely Howard Hawks 1939 epic Only Angels Have Wings in which she stared is one of the great pre-war films of Hollywood...I have subbed and looking forward to catching up on your channel👍

Except for Jean Arthur and Helen Morgan and Helen Hayes and maybe one or 2 others, none of them are not legendary. Legendary are the 3 I mentioned but the others were no nowhere near, excepy maybe their mothers.
