The legend with a green truck on the parking lot the army truck I seen him once at the parking lot he was talking to some of his buddies, and then he went up the mountain, the other way, not hidden flats. That’s the one I know he knows the mountains.

hi nice video, I been going to east fork a few times this month, couldn't find much gold and most of them are the very fine small one and doesn't really weight much, can you please tell me what part of the east fork I should go to have better luck? thank you

With all honesty when I first started I found two chunks. .5 each in one bucket just past Heaton flats. My best advice is dig tree roots of old big trees and all around big Boulders. And most definitely of all bed rock

I thought gold mining on the East Fork San Gabriel River was illegal now days? Have you ever seen any rangers up there? I did what your doing up there all throughout the 90’s and only once saw a ranger who didn’t flinch at us running a couple Keene sluices .. but times have changed .. as have laws. I quit going there when the parking quit being free and you had to buy a California Adventure Pass, do you still have to pay for parking up there these days?
