Haha, note to self, never untie the painter until the engine has started. Also a second fyi, that lanyard should be around your wrist. If you go overboard (it happens) that cuts the engine so you don't get run over and or have far to swim. The video is awesome!!

Lake Seul is a big beautiful lake for fishing and surrounded by stunning views. Getting me off the water was always a tough job lol. This was so fun, and glad you had the paddle!!! Loved your attitude when realizing there was no fuel line! Yes, a learning experience and better to learn than to be upset. Your dog is so beautiful. Just became a member. Don't have much but certainly enough to help you , but certainly enough to help your new chapter a little. I get to be vicariously out on the water with you, driving around the countryside, and talking about your desires and goals to live a good life of contribution to humanity and the earth. As a retired medical sonographer for 40+ years I am enthralled with seeing the sonar scans. I only performed live scans of course but sonar and medical ultrasound technology are making significant strides all the time. Hard to compare the ultrasound equipment I first learned to repair in the 1970s, then becoming credentialed in performing the exams on patients in the 80s, on to today are astounding. I worked primarily with human patients, but was honored to be on a team who worked on wild and captive (or unable to go back to the wild) marine mammals. All of my work was on the Pacific coast of North America and Hawai'i. The Hawai'ian Monk Seal is critically endangered. Since traveling is no longer an option for me I live for seeing YT videos like yours. Your drone footage adds an exponential level of enjoyment and overall perspective of your surroundings. I am thrilled to know I will have many many more of your videos to enjoy.

Glad you got that boat you told Carson you wanted. A word of advice Josh....don't put a boat in the water unless you've thoroughly checked it out first. Discovering there was no fuel line AFTER you're in the water, is a rookie mistake. Lol Never launch that boat unless you've double checked for all personal & boat related safety gear. So be safe & I can't wait to see your outdoor adventures.

I come from a sailing family, and my mom and I took the small sailboat out into the Mount Hope Bay from Gramps house. 2 1/2 miles out the rudder just fell off the damn boat. We could feel it, and our eyes got wide, and we just looked at each other. I started rowing and the current and outgoing tide were not in our favor. I made it maybe half a mile. My mom is a beast. A true sailor. She rowed us back to Gramps, and it took her about 3 1/2 hours with a few breaks that set us back. Goddess she is, I will never forget her saying, "Worst case, the tide takes us to Fall River in 6 or 7 hours, or Gramps calls the Bay area police, but that's not going to happen. We're eating those damn clams for dinner, and I bought coffee ice cream Klondikes". The next time I had a boat incident...I didn't panic.
