The Australian girls all train together and every day, they would talk to each other about making a statement after the TMZ Games in Tokyo - especially in this event.

@@Jennianneryep first & foremost we are the sporting nation. Sport is so important to us Aussie's, it's the most important part of our day to day life, i dunno where we'd be if we weren't sports mad. Take away the Olympics & all our international sporting teams are the best in the world in a lot of sports, our netballers won the world cup in South Africa last year, our female cricketers won the T/20 world cup also in South Africa, our men's cricket team winning the ODI world cup in India against India just to name a few. We know how important sport is when the men's Aussie cricket captain, Pat Cummins currently, are ranked above the Prime Minister as the most important person in Straya & every past PM & the current one Albo 🙄 all admit that the Aussie cricket captain has a much harder job than the PM does 😂

I think in relays you can only have six people, otherwise all top teams would have had four different women swimming the heats and the final to maximize the number of people receiving the medals and I don't think extra two would be hard to fit on the podium
